The problem with the toned down rhetoric is that the ruling class will just ignore the problem unless it is contentious and nasty.

There should not BE a "ruling class". Term limits would be step one in eliminating it.

Yes, but you can’t get to step one until the presently non-ruling class (conservatives) take over the party apparatus.

Unfortunately, the non-ruling class really does not want to go to the trouble. Which is why they remain the subject of the ruling class.
