Nothing in your links says something about Rush purporting that Politico would help Mitt Romney. That said, I have said from the begging when Politico came on the scene that anything they write has to be taken with a grain of salt. I am glad Fox News finally woke up and realized Politico is a left wing site. As a matter of fact it is 0-bama’ favorite site

"It's also why (I'm just predicting) you're not going to see too many people in the official Republican establishment rise up to Herman Cain's defense." Just one of the reasons I left the GOP in 1998, when the Senate refused to have a "real trial" for Bill Xlinton! The Republic is so FUBAR'd.

Why would the Left and Dems release this NOW????????????
It doesn't make sense. If this a story that could derail him from the Presidency, why not wait til he's the GOP candidate and running for the office. That would be the perfect time..
No, I think this came from one of the other GOP candidate camps.

Oh, a leftist probably did it. Unfortunately he is also a contender for the Republican seat. My bet is on Romney.

The source is from the Left, whether it's Dem or GOP.
If from a GOP campaign plant, then that campaign might remember an ancient bit of wisdom about sowing and reaping!
Reversing the current president's systematic dismantling of the Founders' Republic should be the primary goal and aim of any true conservative candidate. Destroying the reputations of fellow fighters in that cause should be a disqualifier for anyone who is found to participate in or persist in that kind of competition.
To: Riodacat
If your worst nightmare as President was the rise of a star whose very authenticity and appeal could capture the imagination, spirit and enthusiasm of your largest voting block, as well as the independents, why would you not try to knock him out
before he had campaigned through a Primary and had achieved the status of Candidate?
Think about it!
Remember, this President has been campaigning since January 2009!

They have to try and destroy all candidates since mac daddy has nothing else to run on.

I wouldn't bet that it is the ‘left=dems’ who are responsible for this. Any beltway -R could just as easily have done it. Heck, I can see Mitt making the phone call. And based on his comments of late, Krauthammer.

I guess you also heard Krauthammer say that the story has legs. I am done now with Krauthammer
