Cain campaign: Time for a moneybomb?
Hot Air ^ | 2 November 2011 | Ed Morrissey

Posted on 11/03/2011 6:30:41 AM PDT by Jay777

Hot Air has learned that the Cain campaign will launch a moneybomb starting at midnight tonight. According to a source close to the Herman Cain campaign, this has been in the works a while, planned for early in November to take advantage of their polling boost from late September and October. The sudden support they got as conservatives rallied around Cain in the first couple of days after the Politico story may have almost made it unnecessary, but given the events of the last 24 hours or so, the timing’s probably as good as possible to start a seven-day fund drive specific to growing their organization in Iowa. The target? $999,000, of course: Just two months until the event that will shape the rest of the primary season! Herman Cain is talking real action on real issues to real Americans. And the people of Iowa are listening. He’s leading the polls with his message of economic renewal, job recovery, and tax reform. We need the best teams on the ground in Iowa, supporting the best candidate for America – Herman Cain. We need your support to raise $999,000 between now and the debate on November 9! Let’s show Washington that the people still have a voice! Iowa is for keeps – the first time it really counts. We need to make sure we have the resources to bring it home. Please help spread the word about Herman Cain. Please donate today to the Iowa Fund! The clock on the moneybomb starts at midnight … but I suspect they won’t mind a few early donations.

There's that 999 gimmic number again....Longest surviving selling gimmic in the world.

Like I said...The 999 Tax Plan was just a gimmic number to start with...and Cain "gotcha".

Sounds like a great idea...will Cain support enforcement on immigration? Has he mentioned it much?
Thanks...will donate today.

We’d better be careful with our rhetoric or some crazy nut will shoot up a grocery store and it would be our fault! And Barack would have to make more t-shirts! ;)

I like Cain but they need a smart bomb, as in the skills to think before they talk and the ability to hire people who know how to craft a message and protect their boss.

If he had said “No answers until my legal team reviews the charges,” he would have saved himself a lot of grief.

Yes, Cain will be enforcing against illegal immigration! Remember how he got in trouble for saying he’d electrify the fence?? He walked that back as a joke, but he is nice and “heartless” on immigration.

Yes, Cain has faults. His team has faults. So? There isn’t a Perfect Cain out there. He’s plenty smart but not politic-savvy.

It’s Cain with faults, or Romney. And eventually 4 more of Obama.

The money and support is pouring in for Herman Cain, but we cannot slow down now. Please help him by donating at http://www.hermancain.com/

Also to help join the buzz about Herman go to facebook.com and “like” him. In just the last week he has jumped 16% or 45000 with an impressive 12,000 in the last 24 hours. Make no mistake Karl Rove is watching Herman’s “likes” and so is Romney. THIS is the way to stick it to the GOP establishment! Please tell your family and friends to “like” Herman as well.
