I’m not skipping ETL’s posts.
It’s invaluable information when you are debating friends, or writing and you need to source a point of contention. It’s great because it’s hard for me to keep track of some of that information in my head - especially when I need online sources. I don’t assume ETL thinks I’m an IDIOT. I also keep in mind that there are others - liberals and lurkers alike, who come to FR on occasion, and may NOT know what us “political junkies” are well aware of.
It’s not hurting anything as far as I can tell. Plus, it’s a lot of work to do to have it all together like that. May I ask why it bothers you so much?

Neither do I. I lived through those events as an adult. My memory is quite clear. I lived in Chicago until 1969 so I got a real close and personal look at the 68 Dem cconvention and the paid rioters who converged on the city. I don’t need to look at pictures over and over again because someone feels the “need” to “inform” other people.

He's not assuming FReepers are idiots. Don't forget, for every FReeper here there is probably a lurker as well.
Maybe some lib lurkers see that and get enlightened to what is really going on, plus, there is always the scroll bar. It's easy enough to just grab it a drag past the post ;)

You may not things tied together, but Free Republic has a lot of newbies who may not have had an opportunity to see the larger picture. Perhaps those if us familiar with the Left’s revolutionary history can skip to the next post if we are familiar with its content so others may gain knowledge. I would hope, as a FReeper, you can see the wisdom in sharing knowledge with other conservatives.

His posts have stood up to the test of time and scrutiny and are factual as well as serving as a good source of information.

You may think some of his posts are screeds, but since the definition of a “screed” is completely subjective, you are welcome to your opinion. I and many others disagree.
