One of the issues that bothers many posters is the assertion (overt, insinuated or assumed) that the choice is between Romney and Perry. It smacks of a nigh condescending view that there are no other viable candidates apart from those two, and that those who may support other candidates do not know what they are doing. If the choice was between a 2% conservative Romney or a 80% conservative Perry then it is quite obvious what the better choice would be - tantamount to being asked whether one would rather be injected with a dose of concentrated arsenic or diluted battery water? In the same way diluted battery acid would be better than a hit of arsenic, a lesser RINO like Perry would be better than a greater RINO like Romney. Consequently, there are no FReepers who would prefer to have 2% conservative Romney over 80% conservative Perry. None (and if there are any they risk getting zotted since JR has said FreeRepublic is a Romney-free zone). However, there are MANY FReepers who would prefer candidates like Gingrich and Cain over a candidate like Perry, and who do not consider the race is between a Romney (currently polling 2nd) vs a Perry (currently polling around 4th-5th, and didn't even poll 1st in his home state).
It would truly be a shock if FReepers would prefer 2% conservative Romney, but if that was the case it wouldn't be for long since they would get zotted. What is more of a shock is the belief by some sections that there are only two people running, namely Romney and Perry. It might surprise some to know there are more than two people running, and of those two one of them (Perry) is not even polling high numbers at all.

Support your candidate fully. That’s what I have been doing.
Stop tearing down a conservative that many FReepers believe will take our country back.
Perry is polling the lowest of anyone but Huntsman. And Perry is no better than Romney. Both are big government Rinos. Both are willing to let innocent children die, through abortion or injection. Neither wants us to have a sovereign country devoid of criminal illegals. Both shy from Islamists. I’m unwilling to say Perry is better than Romney, they both are terrible. No thanks.
