Bletch!
I guess that stuff could be called a seasoning and vitamin supplement. It’s not what would be called a food over here.

In the UK, they’d probably use Marmite.

I like to put chopped onions in the braunschweiger for a little extra kick. Of course, you’re even less kissable after eating that!

Life’s too short to eat margarine.

My grandmother used to cook “Irish Spaghetti” during the depression. That’s spaghetti noodles with ketchup for sauce. Never had the “pleasure” of trying it myself though.
I did get to sample the “Poor Man’s Cake” many times, and that was actually delicious stuff.

Hunting camp breakfast was a can of sardines(kipper[ed] snacks), 2 pieces of toast with butter and jam, and coffee. Lunch was eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, and coffee. Supper was sandwiches and coffee. Dinner was crock pot stew or fried killed thing with bread and coffee. Bedtime snack was crawdad tail or squirrel or dead bird with dutch oven dessert and coffee. Toppings of various berries served at any meal.

Ear-Bending Cellmate: ...and when there was no meat, we ate fowl and when there was no fowl, we ate crawdad and when there was no crawdad to be found, we ate sand.
H.I.: You ate what?
Ear-Bending Cellmate: We ate sand.

H.I.: You ate SAND?

Only if you’re dim enough to take the BBC seriously, something which a surprising number of otherwise bright Freepers seem happy to do. . . . .

Egg salad is reaaally good too. I always add just a tiny bit of sweet pickle relish to mine. I’ve been trying to get a local bagel shoppe to add egg salad to its menu (especially during Lent). I know it would be a hit and would be a money maker for them, but the owner is stubborn.

“Sensitive, are we?”
Only to Freepers who howl when America is judged by left-leaning MSM reports and then proceed to do exactly that about other countries.
