Its time to invite the Occupy Movement to church, or at least according to pastor Jim Wallis it is. You might recall Wallis a member of President Barack Obamas faith council and founder of Sojourners ministry. He is also reportedly a spiritual adviser to Obama.
Now, Wallis is also opening the doors to his parish, offering sanctuary to Occupy protesters, while at the same time encouraging other churches across the country to do the same. According to KleinOnline, Wallis suggested that Thanksgiving is the perfect occasion for churches to reach out and offer Occupiers shelter.
Wallis used his churchs magazine as a platform to call for a church sanctuary for the Occupy movement. KO adds:
Wallis was appointed in February 2009 to the Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, a White House group replete with advocates for using religion to advance social justice.

Open our church basements and parish halls as safe places to sleep shelter and sanctuary as cold weather descends upon many of our cities, he wrote.

So the Marxists in the churches are coming out, too.
“a spiritual adviser to Obama”
LOL what a crock. 20 years in “Rev” Wright’s “church” is all the “spirituality” Odumbo needed
I’d sure hate to be the custodian at that church.
Maybe Obama should let the Occupy Washington group camp on the White House Lawn—if he supports them and believes in their cause. Its good for some—but not good for Obama.
Wait until they tear it up.
HistorySojourners magazine was originally published under the name "The Post American," coming out of the Sojourners Community. The name was changed to "Sojourners" in 1975, when the community moved from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois to Columbia Heights in Washington, D.C.. The mission of Sojourners is to articulate the biblical call to social justice, inspiring hope and building a movement to transform individuals, communities, the church, and the world.[2]
Looks like -bama is in with the gang that's trying to co-opt Christianity and pretend it teaches communism. -bama's expulsion from the White House cannot come soon enough. I'll bet they don't even pray in that 'church'.
Wallis will be exposed for the marxist that he is in an article under preparation right now. Hopefully it will be reprinted at FR for all to see.
His red past is coming home to roost!
Wallis is going to be very sorry, and maybe dead, if he lets that crowd into his church.
It will cost him a bundle and his congregation might not be crazy about endlessly cleaning stinky places that are filled with used needles and the F-word. Dealing with men and women raped in the church might not be their cup of tea either.
You can lose your property if it is used for drug dealing.
Houston ministers dealt with this crowd after Katrina. :(
I’d much rather help actual homeless people.
Some “Church” the “Rev.” leads. So many of the Church’s today are nothing more than PC, feel good country club establishments that just happen to hold a meeting every Sunday.
Id much rather help actual homeless people.
So the truly needy (who may not have other options for food and shelter) are now in competition with the OWS crowd (who elect to leave their homes and camp out). Wow what a superficial, selfish fool:(
When can we expect this to be revealed? I’ve been warning folks about Wallis.
THe column will be written this weekend. Then have to find a conservative website who will publish it. That shouldn’t be hard because of what it will contain. New stuff on Wallis, never seen before.
He is sleazer than a greased pig at a BBQ.
I’m looking forward to reading it. Good luck on finding an outlet!
Matthew 7:15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.”
Matthew 24:11 “...and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.”
This so called pastor Jim Wallis is not a man who should be followed. We have been warned.
Regards.
