Actress Eva Longoria, a prominent Obama supporter, blasted Newt Gingrich for his comments on the work habits of poor children.
Longoria took to her twitter account Saturday afternoon to criticize the former speaker, writing: "@newtgingrich you clearly know little about the Latina community, Latina entrepreneurs who start businesses at 6 times the national average."

so you’re all onboard with child slave labor now?
God’s message still hasn’t gotten through, even after Palin and Cain’s sins of hubris?

A perfect example of Newt's main problem. Who ASKED him about the work habits of poor children? WHO is talking about the work habits of poor children? Since WHEN is this an issue in the election?
Ronald Reagan said basically the same thing for forty years, in the meantime adopting the Laffer Curve, and coming up with Star Wars HIMSELF.
Newt needs to stop with the "ideas." He needs to preach just a few things, relentlessly and repetitiously, like Reagan.
■ Remove abortion from the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court.
■ Drill, Baby, Drill.
■ Repeal the Sixteenth Amendment.
■ FAIR Tax.
■ Originalist judges.
■ Gold and silver coinage and a gold standard.
■ Cut spending.
■ Root out and prosecute corruption.
■ Make the continental U.S. secure from Islamic violence and illegal immigration.
■ Abolish lots of agencies, departments, etc.
CAN Newt stuff the "ideas" and start acting and talking like Reagan?

Actress Eva Longoria......... she has bounced around so much, a used up ho-bag, high-mileage. If she feels so strongly about this she should write a big fat check to the US Treasury. But no! She wants you sending in mo' your money to Imperial Washington DC to fund various 'Rat redistribution schemes

Eva... really, now..
Do we REALLY have to explain to you Gingrich wasn`t referring to children from entrepreneurial families?
Step away from the handheld, Eva.. you can put your eye out with that thing.

“■ Gold and silver coinage and a gold standard.” Gold coins, and even silver, would be impractical today with the price of gold. Within weeks the market would be flooded with counterfeit coins.

I've got a "big idea" for the Newt
- All new automobiles equipped to run on methanol as an option (might add $50 to the price)
- + tax incentives to build coal to methanol conversion plants
- + tax incentives to build natural gas to methanol conversion plants
- + tax incentives to build methanol distribution infrastructure
- subsidized retrofit of existing automobiles to run on methanol as an option...... might cost $200 or so

Great points.. it`d be great if Newt would confine his array of bright ideas to the context of those items you listed, but he tends to wing it wayyy too much. I`m willing to wager he thought of that “kids and work” idea just minutes before he uttered it.

Not sure Newt is on board with this one or the one about Originalist judges.
Newt is still a big-gov’t guy. He doesn’t see gov’t the way that Reagan did.
To: shimbo
Children learning to work is not synonymous with slave labor.
Children learning to live off govt entitlements makes slaves of them and us.

Where did she read this? She clearly didn’t have this info off the top of that empty head. Hey there are poor white folk in this country to Eva no one specifically mentiond black or latino. Have you donated any of your millions to the latino poor you care so much about? How about your millionaire friends?
