Sounds like they are anticipating massive civil unrest. Obama recently signed EO’s that allow him to seize control of all roads, waterways, rail roads, telecom infrastructure, the air traffic control system, water works, power companies, pipelines, etc., pretty much everything necessary to bring the entire country to a screeching halt at the flip of a switch.
Ok here is whats going to happen. Either next year the Government (Obama) knows somethings up and are preparing the Civilian LE for massive chaos or civil disorder or Obama is really going to call martial law, due to any number of reasons. From Disaster to political upheaval to nuclear war. Maybe the whack job Alex Jones is right about the fema camps. With this bunch in the White Hut who knows? Or maybe 12-21-12 is the day things end and the survivors need to be kept in line.
With the current Muslim Invader-in-Chief in charge for another year, possibly five, I am not in favor of the Pentagon giving ANY LEA any weapons beyond the cork and string popgun kind. As far as I’m concerned at this point, this government is our enemy.
