The Mitt Romney campaign was hinting to reporters yesterday about a forthcoming “high profile” endorsement. Instead, they got Dan Quayle. The former Vice-President explains his reasoning in an Arizona Republic Op-Ed:

I always liked Dan Quayle; thought he got a raw deal from the media back in the day. He still looks pretty young although he’s getting up there in years. He has a great wife, too!

We need a person who knows that government is best that governs least.

Yes, we do.

What does that have to do with Romney?

Mitt Romney] has proven over and over again that he is a leader. He has demonstrated he is capable of making tough decisions and turning things around. He is a man of integrity. He understands budgets and financial markets. He balanced budgets and met a bottom line. He is strong on national defense and has a deep love of the principles that make America great.

Rhetoric!! HOW has he proven it? what tough decisions? Intergrity smears others? How is strong on national defense? You mean he has a strong defense - the media - from being attacked? Deep love of what made America great? Since when did big gov't make America great? Made a law that was so 'American' that a socialist imitates it?

Sounds like Mitt wrote it for Dan - all rhetoric and no substance - just like his debates. Mitt, the poster boy for empty suits.

"We need a president with experience governing in his former life as a celestial being," said Quayle, a recent convert to the Church of Latter Day Saints.

Sorry Mitt, but the world form Kolob is that the gods have chosen Newt to be the next US president.

I never believed all those stories of Quayle’s intellectual defect.

Sadly, he has now offered incontrovertible proof that he suffers from an intellect that’s as shallow as a dry riverbed.

What a waste it is to lose one’s mind. Or not to have a mind is being very wasteful. How true that is.

It amazes me the audacity of Mitt to run for president on the ‘R’ ticket with that liberal baggage for the world to see/hear. It’s an insult to ‘R’ voters so he must have a very low opinion of ‘R’ voters.

Maybe Trump will show that video at his debate since Mitt doesn’t want to show up in person - let Mitt’s own words speak for him in his absence. And that’s the American way - to be fair to voters with the candidates own words.

Mitt - forked tongue snake in the grass who roams about seeking who he may deceive.

2012 Republican Race: The Field May Not Be Closed

Conventional wisdom is that the Republican presidential field is set, and that it is much too late for a new candidate to enter the race.

In years past, that would be absolutely correct. Over the last few decades, dozens of primaries and caucuses have been shoe-horned into the opening weeks of the election year, with the tendency on the Republican side for the front-running candidate to score a quick knockout.

But next year, the arrangement of the primary calendar is much different. It is less condensed at the front, much more loaded with events at the back, with the prospect of a viable, late-starting candidate quite real.

Could Sarah Palin Still Get in the Race?

“.....Feb. 14 is the last day that a late entrant could enter the race and reasonably be expected to do well in subsequent races.

The scenario looks something like this: http://voices.yahoo.com/could-sarah-palin-still-race-10634503.html?cat=9
