For Flight 800 to be downed by a missile would have required a missile that violated the laws of physics.
For Flight 800 to be downed by a bomb would have required a bomb that violated the laws of physics.
We can believe in a falsified-evidence coverup that would have required hundreds of participants who’ve remained totally silent for all these years, and involved leaving the evidence literally lying around. Or we can believe in bombs and missiles that violate the laws of physics and the engineering profiles of the weapons as well as leaving no evidence of their detonation. Or we can believe that there was a mechanical failure on an aircraft with 93,300 flight hours (about 3 times her recommended service life, BTW) that fits the physical evidence and is similar to failures experienced on other Boeing aircraft.
Imagine a rod the size of a crowbar with some ability to change its course in the terminal phase. What would it do to a human? Even a near miss would be lethal, and if you sent 5 or 6 in say, an Iranian nuke scientist’s general direction you could pretty much guarantee a hit.

Thank you for pinging me. I was just getting ready to search back through my comments to find WHO told me I had posted the wrong pictures and admit my mistake.
You were correct, in that the original pictures I posted were not of Esfahan. (Never trust google images!, or believe anything you see on the internet)
I am glad we finally have some actual Sat photos. I am going to look at them now.
That size could take out a house or small bridge.

Hard to tell it’s the same place
I cannot guarantee they are Sat photos of the same place, but there are certain geographic features that do match.
I find it odd that there is a dearth of Satellite photos of that area, considering the volume of recon Sats we have in orbit.
How are these rods deployed?
They could be deployed by the X-37B. There's one up right now, just had it's mission extended beyond it's planned 270 days in orbit.
But they could be deployed by any big satellite in fairly large numbers.
These craft are traveling at least 7,500mph and the long perfectly pointed rods only have less than 100 miles to hit their target. Higher orbits, higher speeds.
Think of them as super-high velocity tungsten bullets...oversized.
At the point of impact a plasma/vaporization occurs. It has incredible penetration and shock.

I think I want to go eat a bagel and say “thank you” for the Israelis having the good sense to elect better leaders than we have.
I don't have any idea whether the Israelis did this or not. I do know that there's something seriously wrong when Middle Eastern leaders consider Israeli threats to be believable while American comments get ignored.
Elections have consequences. Israel is getting theirs and we're getting ours.
The Saudis have been upgrading. If they told Obama they’d take out the Iranian site, I wouldn’t be surprised if Obama “loaned” them some of our best equipment. Hard to say who fears a nuclear-armed Iran more - the Israelis, Saudis, or western civilization.

I was asking why the Iranians would keep a gas pipeline explosion a secret. I would think they happen there like everywhere else.
