"Ron Paul and his flaming antiwar spam monkeys can Kiss my Ass!!" -- Jim Robinson, 09/30/07. I agree with his sentiment. I am not anti war. But I don't want a war, especially after one like Iraq. If war is necessary then let's do it. But war mongering, in my opinion, is not the best course of action. I wish we could assist the Iranian people in a "Arab Spring" style revolution. We could provide NATO air support as we did in Libya, and let the Iranians die in the fight for their freedom.

Iran already had its "Arab Spring" style revolution in the late 1970's overthrowing the pro-American Shah in favor of the Islamonazis under the Ayatollah Khomeini. That "Arab Spring style revolution resulted in what we now see in Teheran as well as this year's results in Cairo (ousting the pro-American Mubarak) and in Libya, ousting Qaddafi and installing what promises to be another Shia "law" nightmare.

Ron Paul sees no problem with any of this. He sees no problem if those radical regimes acquire nuclear weapons or biological weapons or other exotic weapons. After all, that's their decision according to the crackpot "non-interventionist" Dr. Demento. If we would just be nice to them, realize how very lovable the Islamonazis truly are and sell them whatever they want to buy (nuclear boomer subs, ICBMs, efficient modern breeder reactors, centrifuges, uranium, plutonium, or whatever) they will certainly love us!!!

Until they annihilate us and our Israeli and British allies, that is.

Providing NATO support just means having to consult and satisfy a wide variety of allies (some of whom may as well be playing for the other team), leading to strategic leaks to the enemy and limitation of goals as in Gulf War I. Enough! Unilateral action is the only way we should go to war from now on. If other nations want to join in, it must be on our terms. We executed Julius and Ethel Rosenberg for less back when America had a backbone. Granted that the Rosenbergs served far more capable masters.

The idea that the Iranian people will revolt and overthrow Ahmadinijad and the mullahs is a nice bedtime story but don't hold your breath waiting for it to happen. And it won't happen with Zippy the Pinhead being granted "letters of marque and reprisal" by a President Demento either, not even if he grants them blunderbusses as weapons and rowboats for transAtlantic travel and bicycles built for two for troop transport on land.
