I agree with you the establishment supports Romney 100%. That’s why they are hell bent on pushing Romney who is a pro carbon credit trading, pro amnesty, pro choice, pro gay rights kind of fanatic.

Newt isn’t a global warming fanatic. As recently as 2009 he testified against Cap & Trade and gave a scathing rebuttal to Al Gore’s global warming “facts.” See here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=G7VUg7nG3lw

The guy you describe as a global warming fanatic testified in the House right after Gore gave his pro-warming testimony, and took Gore apart.

Watch here (and watch Newt take apart Henry Waxman, too):

I know, I know, Newt sat on a couch with Pelosi, which was dumb, but Newt did not in that commercial endorse Cap-and-Trade or any other oppressive legislation. He was trying to make the point that Republicans care about the environment, too.

However - FACT: Newt’s testimony, plus the advocacy work of Newt’s organization American Solutions helped KILL Cap-and-Trade.

Iowa Speaker of the House Kraig Paulsen.

As an Iowan, I can say that this would not make me more likely to vote for Gingrich, were I at all given to such persuasions. Quite the contrary.

Uh.
Newt is openly for amnesty. Few years ago he openly pushed cap-and-trade and gw. Newt is for individual mandate in federal level. He likes 300 pages in obamacare. He attacked tea parties in May as radical rightwing social engineers.

Most dangerous Newt idea is his lunatic ambesty plan. Local peer boards handing amnesty decisions. Document fraud would be astronomical.

We have two conservatives running. NewtRomney must be stopped.

Well maybe not you, but I was under the impression that endorsements by State representatives are sometime more effective that those by more remote national figures.

But maybe you know something about this character that I don’t.

In 2007 pbs interview Newt said he strongly supports cap-and-trade.
After this he joined Nancy in couch ad.

Now he is pandering. He can’t be trusted.

Amnesty is show stopper.

You’re not arguing in good faith here. When proven wrong in your characterization of Gingrich as “global warming fanatic,” you quickly move on to other topics.

First things first:
We’re you right or wrong on your characterization of Gingrich as a “global warming fanatic”?

Well, in the last session, he pretty much buried anything and everything conservative, and has promised to do the same in the upcoming session.

You say “now” he’s pandering, but 2009 was 2 years ago, and the extensive research behind his testimony and his work for American Solutions to stop the actual bill is not “pandering,” it’s a sustained effort - and it’s more than, e.g. Bachmann, Santorum, Perry, or any other candidate has done in the area.

Newt didn’t just take a debating point; he did the work.

FACT: Because most Republicans regard her as a creepy defamer, Bachmann is a goner.

FACT: Santorum is a solid guy & a conservative, but he NEVER got more than a few percentage points in the polls; Republicans have rendered a verdict.

CONCLUSION:
Because your favored candidates are goners, the practical effect or your dumping on Gingrich is to support Romney. Like Bachmann, you’re working for Romney (even if you don’t know it.)

I don't know anything about Paulsen, I just wonder, however, if the media will even mention such an endorsement. I highly doubt they'll fall all over themselves the way they did when the liberal rag, Iowa Register, endorsed Romney.

Look at their accomplishments. Newt allied himself with Ronald Reagan to build the Reagan Coalition, the Religious Right, and the Republican majority (together the Reagan Revolution) which directly led the downfall of the Soviet Union, the Contract with America, government reforms, less government, tax cuts, a balanced budget, and the great, long-standing Reagan economy.

Romney, on the other hand, vehemently denied Ronald Reagan and aligned himself with Ted Kennedy and the left. Romney accomplished installing liberal big government programs, defended and promoted Roe v Wade and legalized abortion as “settled law,” advocated and implemented RomneyCare with its liberty killing government mandates against formerly free citizens and its taxpayer funded or subsidized and mandated abortion procedures. He ran and governed to the left of Ted Kennedy on the “gay agenda” resulting in gay marriage in Massachusetts. He appointed liberal judges and liberal appointees throughout his government. Under his “leadership” conservatism and the Republican party was all but destroyed in Massachusetts.

Romney is one evil liberal progressive. No way in hell will MittBots be allowed to support this abortionist, big government, socialist scumbag on FR!

Guess my message isn’t clear enough. I have to keep repeating it and zotting would be MittBots.
