Gingrich: Every Reason to Believe Obama Born in U.S. (Avoids Natural Born Citizen)
Fox News ^ | December 29, 2011 | Joy Lin

Newt Gingrich routinely fields questions during his campaign stops and during the event showcasing Art Laffer's endorsement, a woman who had been sititing on stage behind him asked Gingrich for clarification about President Obama's country of birth.

SNIP

"All I can report is the state of Hawaii has certified that he was born there," Gingrich continued.

Gesturing to his wife beside him, he said, "We both were with a taxi driver one day who showed us the hospital. There is every reason to believe he is a citizen of the United States. The fact that he's already a terrible president, we don't have to go beyond that and try to find something beyond that."

It's like between this topic and the amnesty issue these candidates are trying to lose voters.

Newt is too smart of a man and with his extensive knowledge of US history he surely knows the Constitution says NATURAL BORN CITIZEN.

It's just so disingenuous.

Oozing charm from every pore, Newt oiled his way across the floor.

What a phony.

It is my understanding that many document experts claim that
Obumbo’s birth documents appear to be fraudulent.

Whatever the facts, there is, and always has been a lot of obfuscation.

Brave Sir Robin ran away.
(”No!”)
Bravely ran away away.
(”I didn’t!”)
When danger reared it’s ugly head,
He bravely turned his tail and fled.
(”No!”)
Yes, brave Sir Robin turned about
(”I didn’t!”)
And gallantly he chickened out.
****Bravely**** taking (”I never did!”) to his feet,
He beat a very brave retreat.
(”All lies!”)
Bravest of the braaaave, Sir Robin!
(”I never!”)

"What a phoney"

Too bad, as he is a great Master Debater and knowledgeable historian.

It probably is a disingenuous answer, but there is no point in a Republican nominee bothering to answer that question, when there are bigger problems at hand.

As president, he can have it investigated fully if he wants, but to try and answer it, at this point, is only going to prove to be a distraction as it has a thousand times before.

Ask any of them and you will get the same or similar answer.

We have 100 Senators, if only one of them said the Birth certificate is a phony there would be an investigation. Not One Congressman will stand up, why try to hang a guy running for President by the balls with this question when we know no politician will put their career on the line to prove otherwise.

I don’t like it either, but he probably was born in hawaii, only DNA can tell us who his daddy was, and no he is not natural born. Ask them that, they have to say he isn’t. Any of them will have to say he isn’t.

If you are going to ask the question , ask it right.

As much as I’d like this issue dealt with and explored, I don’t think it will happen, or at least not until Barry is long out of office. Despite all the lawsuits, books, Trump talking about it, etc, the issue doesn’t get any traction. Media and Repub establishment are afraid of it. It won’t be an issue that the Repubs can use to beat Barry. There are plenty of things that he can be beat on easily though.

“That damn bastard knows he isnt the president because he wasnt born here, and should step down now”?

Newt said this: “The fact that he’s already a terrible president, we don’t have to go beyond that and try to find something beyond that.”

Case closed. The birther issue is great for an investigative reporter or another type of investigator, but it is totally inappropriate for an opposing candidate and is a certain voter turn off.

And as for birther “part B” - there is simply no consensus that the “natural born” phrase means what some think it means. For every mouth frothing message boader who insists it does, I can give you a Mark Levin who says it doesn’t.

The answer he gave was right: He’s a terrible President. Next question?

So much for Newt. He hasn’t a clue about the danger this country is in BECAUSE OF THE CRONIES WHO COVER UP THE LAWLESSNESS.

He just lost me. The image he has is one of being in with the cronies, and what he just said shows he doesn’t hear what a large part of this country is saying about the lawlessness of all those cronies.

At least Bachman had her heart in the right place on this issue before her campaign people apparently told her it wasn’t cool. I suppose Santorum doesn’t get it either, doesn’t recognize the demoralization the whole corrupt, criminal system is effecting.

Man, I wish Palin was running.

The real reason that Bambi is in the WH is not the Democraps but the Pubbies who were too gutless to vet him in 2008.

Nothing has changed since then so we can expect a repeat in 2012 — this time it will probably be McCromney or McCingrich for the GOP.

Newt gave the exactly correct answer. It would be stupid beyond belief to take a bite of that apple.

Anyone voting on the basis of whether or not a candidate thinks Obama is a natural born citizen is way, way outside the bounds of reality. Any candidate who made that sort of assertion would be gone in an instant--laughed right off the stage--and deservedly so.

There's leaving yourself open, and then there's leading with your chin.

No, that's a stupid interpretation of what Jonty said (sorry Jonty, I despise this kind of cheap fraudulent paraphrasing which some around here use because they cannot debate). The point is, this issue is not going to stop Obama from doing what he's doing, is not going to remove him from office, so what folks with brains are doing are concentrating on what actually CAN stop Obama and actually CAN remove Obama. I have a lot of problems with Obama. If he's a foreigner, which I sure as hell cannot tell for sure, that would be one of them. Meantime, he's a socialist American hating threat to our very existence. That I CAN tell for sure.

Whatever Newt might have said would be inconsequential today, other than to provoke the moonbat media! We must demand action from congresscritters and courts to get something done in the matter.
