You know the Democrats gave up on winning the presidential race by pushing Obama when Trump started harumphing about not being a Republican. He was given his orders. The Democrats have been looking at the polls and know their man can’t win, so they have to divide the Republican party. So they’re pushing Romney and Paul. Politics used to be about finding the best person for a government job and the best person was the one who would get the most efficient and effective use out of the hard-earned taxpayer’s dollars. Now, for the Democrats, it’s win at all costs, and you have to ask yourself, and them, why this is. What’s so great about these elected jobs that the Democrats will do anything to get them?

“The other guy is driving us towards the cliff at 100 mph” is not a reason to vote for a guy who will drive us towards the cliff at a mere 80 mph.

1. We're all in the car together. When one goes, we all go.

2. How close to "the cliff" are we?

3. Define "cliff".

4. The 20mph difference may well give us the time to "correct the steering".

5. One could make the solid arguement that mid-way through January of 2009, we all actually went over the cliff. We're still falling; we just haven't hit yet.

Regardless, I will - unless I die first - vote AGAINST the stain in Nov of 2012.

It's that simple.

Yes indeed, the mosh pit of conservative, libertarian, rino candidates is indeed fun to watch. Exciting, frustrating, amusing too.

But....look at it this way.

Regardless of who emerges victorious from the right, the stain has the following blocks sewn up tight:
1. blacks (inner city, unemployed, welfare recipients, etc),
2. whites (unemployed and on benefits, underemployed, dispossesed, debt ridden, jobless/hopeless, etc),
3. illegals (yes - they do vote. Yes - illegally, but who's stopping them?),
4. Socialists/commmunists/marxists and educators (professors, teachers),
5. Unions, and
6. hispanics.
The one voting block that will not do much this time around is/are "yutes"; they simply will stay away in droves.

Moreover, regardless of who emerges victorious from the intercene warfare on the right, no one on the left is going to change their minds and "switch" votes.

"Independents"??? Nah. After watching what was left of their country after Bush got done with it deteriorate almost to the point of "terminal" - they're minds are made up as well. There is nothing "the right" can do or say at this point that will "swing" any significant amount of votes one way or the other.

IMHO....the dye is cast.

How close to the cliff? Nobody knows.

“Cliff” definition - in the most optimistic of scenarios, national bankruptcy or a replay of Weimar Germany.

“Correct the steering”? When you’re headed straight for the cliff, slight course alterations and a 20 mph slowdown are of no use.

I will most certainly vote against The Stain myself.

I will also most certainly not vote for anyone acceptable to the same electorate that kept The Gigolo and The Swimmer into the Senate for decades.

I will also most certainly not vote for anyone who deems Iranian nuclear weapons to be their right.

a little optic input on the same subject:

"Ted Kennedy Prepared Barack Obama’s Attack Ads"

"In 1994, Ted Kennedy ran against Mitt Romney. Romney ran on his jobs record in the private sector. Sound familiar? Well, get ready for Barack Obama’s ad campaign against Mitt Romney. Ted Kennedy already produced the ads and I’ve got them." MUST WATCH:

and more:

Barack has announced his campaign will be about fair-shot class warfare; Willard will be the poster boy for heartless capitalism and sordid wealth. plus the fact, I would guess 79-80% of Christians/evangelicals really have no idea what Mormonism is about, and will be introduced to that reality. And, for the dem dimwits, the racist elements of the Mormon past via the ever-reliable race card... NOW THERE'S SOME BAGGAGE.

He can’t pass anything without the consent of congress

Would you please call Obama...and tell him that.

How close to the cliff? Nobody knows. Really?? Nobody? Perhaps it has to do with how "cliff" is defined? The same sort of term as "the rich"!

“Cliff” definition - in the most optimistic of scenarios, national bankruptcy or a replay of Weimar Germany. Indeed!? We are already nationally bankrupt (if one defines the term as total debt and obligations far exceeding income or the ability to increase it in any significant way), so this arguement is moot.

“Correct the steering”? When you’re headed straight for the cliff, slight course alterations and a 20 mph slowdown are of no use. Again, it all depends on how far off the edge of the cliff is. 100 feet? You're right. 100 miles; you're dead wrong. In this case, it ain't the speed, it's the direction. Of course, if we're already over the cliff, this nice distinction is also moot.

I will most certainly vote against The Stain myself. Good for you! Me too!

I will also most certainly not vote for anyone acceptable to the same electorate that kept The Gigolo and The Swimmer into the Senate for decades. You've just narrowed your ability to vote. Adding the voting block to which you refer to the already huge voting block that will vote for the stain, and there ain't many of you left.

I will also most certainly not vote for anyone who deems Iranian nuclear weapons to be their right. There goes most of the rest of your voting choice....might as well stay home, huh? Of course, doing that act the same as a vote FOR the stain, doesn't it?

The MSM is giving Romney a pass now...once he gets the nomination they will turn on him.

That's exactly right. They'll make sure and do a lot of articles on his time at Bain, they'll talk about his dad, about his crazy Mormon relatives in Mexico, about his being a Mormon. And speaking of that, they'll make damn sure that everybody knows he's a Mormon.

There is so much about Romney that the media will have, the stories almost write themselves.

“FR DID NOT give Romney a free pass, to the point that even some freepers have gotten sick of our attacks on him. FR, JimRob, and the Inmans have LED the national charge against Romney from Day 1, we’ve done our best and I for one am unashamed.”

I say “well done” to your efforts.

IF Romney gets the nomination, the DEMs and MSM is going to drag out everything possible about Mormonisn to rip Romney apart. Too many weird things in the LSD’s past & present theology & practice that are going to be a problem for Mitt in a general election. The fact that Black weren’t allowed into the “priesthood” until 1978 will be a big one. They will be able to keep the Black vote on the Democratic plantation. Mormonism does not bear close scrutiny, from either an orthodox Christian or secular view. Unless the folks in Salt Lake City own a great deal of holdings/investments in MSM companies, then Mormonisn will be a BIG target for the press. Romney is too highly placed in the LDS heirarchy to claim ignorance.

Bain Capital has ties to MSNBC.

I think some of us right here have been criticizing conservative presidential candidates in order to help our own candidate, assuming that we all know Romney is a liberal Republican.

But we must remember that not only FReepers read FR.

Obama wants to be a dictator. He is not bound by trivial things such as the law. I am hoping that if we get stuck with Romney he will not have the same issues.
