GOP presidential hopeful Mitt Romney has rocketed ahead of President Obama and taken his biggest lead yet in a national head-to-head matchup, a new poll showed today.
Romney topped Obama 45 percent to 39 percent in the Rasmussen Reports survey.
“It’s also the biggest lead a named Republican candidate has held over the incumbent in Rasmussen Reports surveying to date,” said the pollsters.

What I find curious is that in individual states, Romeny doesn’t seem to do so well against truly conservative candidates, yet the national polls have him way out there!
It isn’t going to influence my vote, but who in Hell are these people, where are they, or are they figments imaginatively invented by the LSM in an effort to fool everyone.
The good press won’t last forever, the media will eventually gut Romney like a fish and toss him aside.

The RINO establishment and the Left agree—neither wants a conservative in the White House so they work together to keep the dum-masses dull,pliant squatting apes picking the lice off each other. So they have commanded it be Mitt or Obama aka slow death or swift. And who’s side will be last to gnaw the bones of what will be left of America if either wins?
Don’t believe it one iota. Ras is the ONLY poll that says this. Every single other one has Obama ahead. Ras is in the tank with the GOP elite wanting us to get behind RINO Romney.

If you can trust the polls, it’s name recognition, imo. However, I heard a talk show host say that a new poll showed Obama losing to any generic Republican, so I’m sure once a Republican candidate is picked, he has a more than even chance of winning!
In the general election, I would vote for anyone over Obama.
The only way the Republicans could get me to vote for Obama would be to run Beelzebub incarnate, and even there it would be a tough choice.
OTOH, Romney is about my last choice in Republicans. The RATs love Romney and there is a good reason for this. Right now I like Santorum or Gingrich, but Ronald McDonald would do in a pinch.

Agreed, but only if and when he secures the nomination. Otherwise he remains an asset for them.
All Rasmussen polls (or are they all internet surveys?? He does real polls too right?) tend to be more favorable to Republicans. Least they were in 2010.

No matter which Republican runs, the key to throwing Barry out of the White Hut will depend on our ability to at least partially control DemocRAT voter fraud.
