IIRC, he’s a former seal himself. He has been lying about that. He was UDT, not a SEAL. The UDT was combined with the SEALs about a decade after he left which is why he is claiming to be one.

Ventura was never a Seal. He was a Frogman. The Frogmen were later incorporated into the Seals but Ventura was already out of the Navy.
