Tony was a class act. My first recollection of him seems to be about the time of the ‘94 Contract with America. He may have been on the American scene before that, but I was not aware of him. If memory serves, I recall him being very fair and even-handed in his contacts with Newt and the Conservatives who were giving the ‘rats a fit back then.
You’re right - ‘class act’ is the term. Prayers for his family and loved ones... he’ll be missed.
