Is it the return of Bob Kerrey?

The former Nebraska governor says he is coming “home” to Nebraska next week to talk with friends and others about another possible run for the U.S. Senate.

Kerrey says he will make his decision quickly, after determining whether he has the “skills” and “experience” needed to help Nebraska and the nation address some of its problems, including the nation's debt woes.

“I don't presume for a moment I would automatically win. But, I have to persuade myself, if I did win, I could do something others couldn't,” Kerrey said Friday.

He previously served two terms in the Senate, before stepping down in 2001. He was replaced by Nelson.

From his extensive experience living in New York City the last 20 years.

Looks like the Rats are dredging the bottom of the barrel for a race they are going to lose anyway. Kerrey is a stiff and loser.

Yeah. Now he wants back in Nebraska just when NE is on the cusp of being a major player in the oil industry. Nebraskans should show him thehir backs.

They are trying the old Lautenberg trick, trying to pull someone essentially out of the grave.

I don’t think Kerrey will end up running, because he will lose.

I wonder if Kerrey made any public statements concerning Obamacare and the Cornhusker Kickback?

The only way that a Demorat can win in Nebraska. Pull out a true war hero/CMH winner to run. That’s the only chance they have. Meanwhile he’s a lefty to the core. Far more left than Ben Nelson ever hoped to be. Who was rather conservative except when pressured by the Obozo administration. Kerrey will go along willingly. He won’t have to have his arm twisted to go left.

Kerry was a worse governor and senator than Nelson and he didn’t bother to make Nebraska his home again after all these years. That, and the fact that he will be closely identified with Nelson, the democrat party and support of obamacare will not gain him many points here. He poorly represented the state and has made himself a New Yorker; screw him.

Speculation of a couple of weeks ago was not far fetched.

If he runs, let’s hope he goes the way of Mondale and not the way of the Laut.

Kerrey's an insane libtard who supports a boatload of leftist causes such as homosexual marriages and ObamaCare; he is a big Hillary backer; but you have to respect him for this:

Medal of Honor Citation:

For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty while serving as a SEAL team leader during action against enemy aggressor (Viet Cong) forces. Acting in response to reliable intelligence, Lt. (j.g.) Kerrey led his SEAL team on a mission to capture important members of the enemy's area political cadre known to be located on an island in the bay of Nha Trang. In order to surprise the enemy, he and his team scaled a 350-foot sheer cliff to place themselves above the ledge on which the enemy was located. Splitting his team in 2 elements and coordinating both, Lt. (jg.) Kerrey led his men in the treacherous downward descent to the enemy's camp. Just as they neared the end of their descent, intense enemy fire was directed at them, and Lt. (jg.) Kerrey received massive injuries from a grenade that exploded at his feet and threw him backward onto the jagged rocks. Although bleeding profusely and suffering great pain, he displayed outstanding courage and presence of mind in immediately directing his element's fire into the heart of the enemy camp. Utilizing his radio, Lt. (jg.) Kerrey called in the second element's fire support, which caught the confused Viet Cong in a devastating crossfire. After successfully suppressing the enemy's fire, and although immobilized by his multiple wounds, he continued to maintain calm, superlative control as he ordered his team to secure and defend an extraction site. Lt. (jg.) Kerrey resolutely directed his men, despite his near unconscious state, until he was eventually evacuated by helicopter. The havoc brought to the enemy by this very successful mission cannot be over-estimated. The enemy soldiers who were captured provided critical intelligence to the allied effort. Lt. (jg.) Kerrey's courageous and inspiring leadership, valiant fighting spirit, and tenacious devotion to duty in the face of almost overwhelming opposition sustain and enhance the finest traditions of the U.S. Naval Service.

He has a lot to contribute to society if he would only stay the hell out of politics.

I believe that Bob Kerrey is best known for having said, in February, 1996, that “Clinton is an unusually good liar.”

It sounded as if he was speaking with admiration, although that’s not absolutely certain.

I lived in Nebraska during that time and had a rather intense correspondence with Senator Kerrey regarding his covering for Bill Clinton. He did not appreciate my comments.

I believe Nebraskans will crush their former Senator if he attempts to regain the throne. Were I a student of Sun Tzu I would form a PAC to support Black former State Senator Ernie Chambers to run for the Senate and berate the Democrat Party of Nebraska as Racist for bringing Kerrey back from New York. Either way this race should be a significant win for the GOP.

Regards,

TS

If Tom Osborne can lose in Nebraska, anyone can.

For those of you who don’t know who Osborne is, he was the Head Coach for Nebraska football. The man was a God. Everybody loved him and that is how he got elected into congress after he retired.

But he made the fatal mistake of saying that illegals should get in state tuition. Not even Tom Osborne could have survived that.

I always liked what he said about losing his leg in Viet Nam. It was his own stupid mistake.

He wants to use the Senate as his retirement home (he turns 70 next year). Hopefully the folks of NE will see through this farce who fled the state to NYC to head up a Marxist University after his “retirement.”

Heh. Ernie Chambers. Is he still around? Got to love the man's wardrobe.

I lived in Omaha when Kerry, the chick(can't remember her name-Kay something), and Nelson were all governors. They all sucked. But Kerry scored points for being a bachelor & dating Debra Winger.
