I figured out that MO was an angry black woman long ago. I didn’t need anyone to write about it in a book.

I figured out that MO was an angry black woman long ago.

Precisely. When he was first running for POTUS, I looked at her and thought that she looked like the angry, aggressive black woman that a person tries so hard to avoid.

I remember, when hubby and I still got a newspaper on Sunday, an advice column and one day the letter writer was a woman who was with her young child on a bus when she encountered a really unpleasant situation. A black woman got on the bus with a bouquet of flowers. Another woman on the bus, who happened to be white, commented to the black woman that her flowers were beautiful. According to the bus rider, the black woman went into a tirade about how white people are always staring and looking at black people, and on and on.

Now, my POV is that when one woman sees another woman with a bouquet of flowers, and comments on the flowers, she is not being a racist. But, that is how this woman responded to being complimented on the flowers she had.

Whenever I see Michelle Obama, I think of that story because, just looking at the expression she wears on her face so often, I know that she would have responded in a similar way. She has a gigantic chip on her shoulder and it shows in her face. (BTW, the point of the letter the bus rider had written was about how she had handled the situation with her young child who was a little confused by it. She basically said that they decided it had nothing to do with race; but, that the woman with the flowers was very rude.)
