Romney's father, the late Michigan Gov. George Romney, was born in Mexico. I remember when George Romney ran for president. I didn't know until fairly recently that he was born in Mexico. How could he have been born in Mexico and been constitutionally qualified to be president?

How could he have been born in Mexico and been constitutionally qualified to be president? I think that, unlike our current president, he was born to two US citizens.
