I don't think that's what he said MissM. I think he said he would be delighted if Santorum endorsed him, if he were to drop out - the reporter asked him, provoked the comment if you will. Another MSM driven jab at Newt.
You are correct .... I was going on the headlines of a post on Hot Air and that headline was
"Gingrich: I would be delighted" if Santorum dropped out. Here's the quote of what Gingrich actually said (assuming that is correct!):
I would be delighted if he decided to endorse me, he told reporters here after being asked if Mr. Santorum should drop out. Im respectful that Rick has every right to run as long as he feels thats what he should do. But from the standpoint of the conservative movement, consolidating into a Gingrich candidacy would, in fact, virtually guarantee victory on Saturday.
Santorum was really fired up on Hannity today about this.
