Wow..what are you thinking? You are trying to be reasonable and an adult. That will never play.
from the NY Times link you posted:
- The Federal authorities said today that John Connally, former Governor of Texas, and Representative Ron Paul, Republican of Texas, had no connection with a plot to overthrow the government of a Caribbean island-—
So much for “Ron Paul Was Implicated In Failed White Supremacist Island Invasion”. Not true. He was not implicated.Article written by Casey Gane-McCalla, Lead Blogger
“Gane-McCalla is a writer, editor, rapper, producer and actor. He is a Columbia University Graduate and previously worked in the non-profit sector.”
Your source is a community organizer from Obama’s alma mater. And a blog “FOR BLACK AMERICA”. I generally don’t accept allegations of racism from racist websites.
Believing in the states’ sovereignty to pass its own laws is free from a centralized government is not against libertarian ideals. And most libertarians would fight for similar restrictions on state governments in which they live. What you are suggesting is that libertarian ideals would be against states existing in the 1st place, which is not something I have heard anyone believe.
And if you read the Bill of Rights, each amendment specifies the scope. The 1st clearly states what entity it is aimed at in the first word. If you followed it literally, then the states should not have to pay attention to that one, because it is not for them.
I really dont think most people want limited government anymore.
Wrong. A warlock...and possibly a goblin.
What did he do to Leroy Gingrich?
But you left the link for the Obama-worshiping "News One for Black America"?
The issue is what does the actual Constitution - not the “living” one - do. Go read the Bill of Rights, the 14th, and, especially, Freund’s book and get back to me. The short answer, however, is that the “incorporation” doctrine was simply invented by judges.
You can blame my parents for my reasonableness :)
There is a strong union presence in the refineries. While Freeport and Lake Jackson aren’t as infested by unions as Port Arthur or Beaumont, unions, as you know, work across political subdivision lines to advance their agenda. I would also point out that the strength of the unions is seldom thesize of their membership in relation to the population, but rather their money and organization.
RP’s views on labor law are anathema to the unions, and they would have welcomed an opportunity to get a friendly prosecutor to go after him or to have hung this as a scandal around his neck. The fact that they didn’t do this at a time when elected Rs were rare in TX tells the story.
“You are wasting your time here. A form of political dementia has overtaken FR, and rational discussion of candidates is not allowed.”
You got that right!
I find myself just sitting here staring at the screen in disbelief anymore.
It’s as though the obvious fact (all the choices suck) is largely ignored, but what the heck? Let’s have a game anyway!
And the level and degree of venom is unreal.
Aticles like this one would have been laughed offline not so long ago. Now they are clutched at immediately in a blind frenzy to club “the other guy”.
What’s lost entirely is an semblance of conservative thought or philosophy at all.
Sad day when this is what the supposed “right” has come down to.
On Dec 29, 2011 alterPaul said he knew of the letters (those racist and anti-Semitic ones) and probably contributed to them.
alterPaul is a racist, an anti-Semite and a 9/11 truther.
alterPaul late last year blamed America for the bombing of Pearl Harbor.
At the very least he is insane and the worst exactly like those of us who pay attention say he is.

I read a couple Spotlight articles back in the 80s, before we went overseas. We were living in Arkansas and i found them in an office of some kind, I’m trying to remember just what, while waiting for an appointment. Anyway, they looked lie insurrection type stuff to me. Very conspiracy-oriented stuff. It was eery.
Sorry to keep bothering you, Absolutely, but this one is dynamite!
LOL..I hear ya!
Ron Paul’s foreign “policy” makes HIM look like a tiddlywink.
