Rothbard was, and so was Ludwig von Mises himself. von Mises sat on the John Birch Society's Editorial Advisory Committee, but that certainly didn't make him anathema to conservatives. Another reason why they fizzle is because Ron Paul's already been cast as a peace activist, with lotsa evidence to back that characterization up. "Neo-Nazi peace creep" ain't makin' it.
