This is the oddest thing that I have seen in a few years involving posting histories, tons of old, long term freepers whose names don’t look familiar defending Romney in various ways, and when I look at their 10 year, or 13 year posting histories, it consists of a single page with little interest in FR.
Romney being this close seems to be bringing passive freepers into active participation here.
For the record, I am not defending Romney. I would not try and defend the indefensible. I am merely pointing out that "conservatives" are using socialist / anti-capitalist positions to attack him. It would seem more appropriate to attack him on his non-conservative / liberal record, rather than taking out pages from the democratic play book.
