To: no dems

We truly are screwed. The dems have succeeded in convincing “conservatives” to use their talking points to challenge republican candidates. How the heck did “conservatives” start using class warfare to attack candidates? We are eating our own using Marxist positions, and the dems are applauding.

The cannibalism that I have seen on FreeRebublic over the last 18 months has been astounding. I remember when Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, and Laura Ingram were worshipped on this website. I remember all of the comments slamming Newt Gingrich as a sellout and a liberal. And now, he is supposedly our SAVIOR??

For the record, I am NO Romney supporter. I am just pointing out the hypocrisy and massive flip flopping of MANY Freepers. I am very disgusted with what I am seeing. The dems are succeeding. It is evident on Free Republic that the democrat’s strategy and desire to shape the conversation is winning. I think that we have cannibalized our candidates so much, that no matter who wins the nomination, we have likely set them up for failure. No one in this primary race will emerge strong. We have done Obama’s work ourselves.

Feel free to call me whatever you want, but I am right and you will have proven my point. I agree that we must have a conservative candidate, but the ends do not justify the means. These means only destroy our cause.

I agree with every word of your Comment. But, I remember how nasty it got between Obozo and Hillary in 2008. The Dems survived and won the General Election. I remember the nasty campaign between George W. and John McCain in 2000. Bush still won the GE. I remember how nasty is was between George H. W. and Reagan in 1980 and we still got the best President ever in the White House that year. WE'LL SURVIVE THIS.

>> I am just pointing out the hypocrisy and massive flip flopping of MANY Freepers yadda yadda bla bla bla

So, let me get this straight.

I hold a very consistent conservative view: I HATE MITT ROMNEY. Always did, do now, always will.

I *used* to like, agree with, and support Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, Laura Ingraham, Chris Christie, et al, but when they effectively turned their back on conservatism by going all in for Mitt (and browbeating anyone who doesn’t), they became dead to me. Because MY principles HAVE NOT CHANGED!

But according to you, that consistent principled conservatism somehow makes me a hypocritical flip-flopper??!?

Man, you are soooo full of sh!t like a Christmas turkey.

I think you are quite correct but as of this moment I still think Newt is the best(but flawed)guy to slow the growth of government. Of course He could do a course change if he gets elected. I only wish we had some other candidates to consider

We still despise Mitt Romney most of all.

A lot of what you think you know about the popularity here of figures like Coulter, is that they had their fans, and there was no real reason for their non-fans to attack them.

Things change, people like Coulter choose teams, goal lines move, hidden agendas get revealed.

Look what the 2010 election revealed, the Romney GOP endorsed the Independent against the Republican in a Senate race, to hurt Palin, and prevent a conservative from taking the seat, and succeeded!

The tea party is what the Republicans were supposed to be dreaming of all our lives, but when we finally got one together, we confirmed that liberalism is rampant in the GOP and we found out that we have been fighting fifth columnists all along.

Mitt Romney is the ultimate fifth columnist, not Speaker Gingrich, not Governor Palin, ask the Coulters why they are cannibalising our Republican leaders for the likes of a poser, an actual anti-conservative like Independent “moderate” Mitt Romney.
