Drudge is good at hiding who he really is...

Drudge: ‘I Do Not Love Sex With Men’

4/6/2009

Drudge has never been said to particularly relish his homosexuality or embrace it; in fact his gay romantic/sexual side has been described (when alleged) as conflicted and awkward.

David Brock, the former right-wing writer, wrote in his memoir Blinded by the Right about a “scary” date in which Drudge, after bringing Brock flowers and navigating the Santa Monica gay strip “like a pro,” stepped on a competing suitor’s foot “really hard” (in Drudge’s purported words) in a nightclub to scare him away from Brock.

Alec Baldwin stated that Drudge made an advance on him in an ABC Studios hallway, a proposition that had “kind of a creepy quality to it.”

Drudge denied he was gay to the Miami New Times in 2001, even as he launched into a disquisition on (as the New Times put it) “the reigning DJ king of gay circuit parties” and summarized his nightlife thusly: “I go to straight bars, I go to gay bars.”

Personally, I hope Romney has some polls that say he is up 8 to 10 points.

If he did, then he would go into tonight’s debate attempting to sit on a lead and play it safe.

When Romney has played it safe and tried to sit ona lead have been the times when Newt has made mincemeat of him.

Newt did not do as well on Monday because he was taken by surprise by how strongly Romney went on the attack.

Newt will be more prepared tonight but a defensive candidate is easier to debate than an offensive candidate.

Drudge is trying to re-write history....question is why?

One possibility may involve Newt's response to a gay activist who wanted Newt to "reach out" more to gays (vote for Obama), and Matt Drudge being gay.

He should rename it The Fudge Report. He fudges his facts and, well, you know.

I absolutely LOATHE the self-congratulatory, pompous, insufferable term 'elites'.

Most of said self-proclaimed maggots are anything but.

Effetes ?   you betcha ! !

Elites, my ass.

Maybe, but the key is Newt is the ONLY one that threatens Romney winning the primary. Meanwhile, there is NOTHING good to say about Romney. Hence the only strategy for all of Romney’s backers is to trash Newt.

Drudge has slanted his web page before. When Schwarzenegger was embroiled in his recent paternity scandal NOT ONE story ever made the Drudge Report.

I think you raise a good point.

This guy has some issues.

I have probably read most of the same things about him that you have, there is not that much to read.

Personally,I think that he is not only conflicted sexually but politically conflicted as well.

In what I have seen on website in the last week, it looks like that he is just not strong enough to say no to Coulter and Briebart.

Just visited Drudge at 3:15 PM (EST) Thurdsday ...

"Never" in 10 years of visiting Drudge's site have I seen as many negative articles about any one person, at any one time ...

almost by a factor of 2 or 3 ...

Dittos for Mr. Rush Limbaugh ... whom I'm genuinely suspecting of wanting Obama to win in 2012 ...

so that Rush can keep his advertising revenue stream on-target ...

"Never" thought that I would say that about him ...

Today Rush made "pointed-fun" of a North Carolina caller (Tea Party, blue-collar guy) who said that he's STILL supporting Newt ...

What Rush (and the GOP E-RINO elite) doesn't understand is that "we" genuine Conservatives are ABSOLUTELY SICK and DAMN TIRED of being treated like "french poodle" whores in a brothel ...

We supported Bush-41, and got creamed in the Presidential election ...

We supported Bob Dole, and got creamed in the Presidential election ...

We supported Juan McCain, and got creamed in the Presidential election ...

Newt isn't perfect ... has made lots of mistakes ...

but at least he has the COURAGE to FIGHT the Establishment !

Why has this all started BIG TIME on this particular Thursday ?

Because of Newt's "absolutely incredible" Space Speech yesterday in Florida ...

Have you listened to it ?

I guarantee you ... that the Washingtion and NASA elites "made a brick" over this one ...

That explains WHY Drudge and Rush are attacking Newt ...

Not in a MILLION years would Bush-41 or Bob Dole or Juan McCain EVER had a vision like this ...

... and they are PISSED !

So very true.

To think about it, the media and the republicans in power have had a long time processing that Romney was already the chosen nominee. All but the napkins being printed but just to think someone like Newt has come along to mess that up. I hope and pray the people reject Romney. Newt is a fighter. He's the best chance for reform. Romney won't win the general. They can take we will come around idea and shove it.

Has anyone chronicled the mysterious rise of Obama in the 2008 Dem primaries? The full-court press against Clinton was very similar to what we’re seeing deployed against Gingrich.

Obama was a cipher, with a sparse voting record and little to commend him besides a well-received speech at the 2004 DNC Convention. His outsider credentials and the fact that he was, to paraphrase Joe Biden, a clean, articulate black man made him very attractive to both libs and the various interest groups that make up the Dem party.

But he hasn’t operated as an outsider. He has secured passage of much of the wishlist of the ruling class. And Romney’s job will be to consolidate the “gains”, and advance other aspects of their agenda.

It seems that Obama and Romney have similar, if not the same, backers. The convergence of the establishments of both major parties is astonishing and troubling. The political environment is similar to that of 1854 or 1876...a tinderbox. Even Newt must be careful as he taps into the magma that is pushing toward the surface.

Because of Newt's "absolutely incredible" Space Speech yesterday in Florida ...

You might be on to something with this.

All of a sudden, a space policy speech may be the spark that the establishment realizes makes Newt invincible.

Prior to this speech, there was some complacency that Mitt would eventually return as the front runner; given some distance from SC.

Now there is fear. Fear that Newt is inevitable.

Still, I'm not sure what Drudge is afraid of.

I'm guessing a vendetta directly with Newt, perhaps from long ago.

What Drudge does not realize that this much bias becomes self canceling. Drudge becomes identified as coming with bias and the stories are discounted.

Not very smart on his part.

Genuine fear of Newt is showing. We're not sure why.

He says that Drudge doesn’t have a single anti-Newt bias bone in his body.

I don't think Drudge has a single anti-Newt bias bone in his body. I mean he slimed Perry when Rick was on top & Herman when he was on top.

So I don't think Drudge has anything personal against these guys. I just think he has a big bias bone for Mitt.
