EXCERPT

‘‘We are putting colleges on notice,’’ Obama said. ‘‘You can’t assume that you'll just jack up tuition every single year. If you can’t stop tuition from going up, then the funding you get from taxpayers each year will go down.’’

"A blind squirrel . . . ."

Rising state and federal student aid IS the reason tuition goes up. Astoundingly, Obama has hit on the solution: cut student aid.

Simple. Cut the salaries of all the leftist professors and staff.

The left is so dumb that they don’t realize that eventual cost controls will be put in place by socialist/marxist government and they will be told what they will make. It won’t be the excessive salaries they are currently making.

What is good for the goose will be good for the gander.

He’s actually right. The difference with manufacturers is that they don’t raise prices because their government subsidies go up, and they can. Vedder and Cox have shown that government student aid is THE reason colleges feel like they can repeatedly raise tuitions.

Cut all federal aid to college and let those who can afford it and those who work hard enough to win scholarships attend.

Why should the government be giving money to the universities when they have billions in assets?..............

BigEducation’s “windfall profits” are fuelled wholly your Marxist state’s policies, dumbass.

Why don’t you call the heads of Ivy League schools (for example), before a televised grilling session from the semi-literate, economically ignorant smegma infesting Congress?

Obama is playing to the crowd in an election year. Of course, there is no doubt that Obama’s taking over of the student loan program gives him the power to threaten and cajole, which is why he did it in the first place. Obama will select the winners and losers. And I doubt that there will be cuts in student aid.

When did Obama become the Governor of Michigan?

“Simple. Cut the salaries of all the leftist professors and staff.”

Exactly. I looked over the Berkeley budget. They spend over $500 million a year on staff. Not faculty, STAFF. Yet none of the pinhead students can figure out that the problem is that just about 90% of their tuition is spent on the adults and not the students.
