You go with that. Oh, and by the way, that shirt, it looks good on you.
I am a Newt guy all the way, but his response to Romney was asinine...Romney said he wasnt concerned for the poor because there were programs in force to assist them, he also said he wasn't concerned for the ultra rich because they were already taken care of. He went on to say that he was concerned about the middle class. I don't know how close you pay attention, but as your grade school teacher, I'd give you an "F" .
Newt’s point was that dividing Americans into class at allpoor, middle, richis asinine and that Romney shouldn’t be pandering to that.
No wonder this country is going down the toilet with comprehension abilities like those I’m seeing in this thread. Just, wow.
Great. If Romney does get nominated, you’ll have to put up with all sorts of annoying crap no matter what happens.
Calm down and grow up folks.
First, all is fair in love, war and politics.
Second, of course Romney didn’t say this when you consider the full context. We here at FR aren’t supposed to fall for that crap.
Third, but yes, in political campaigns comments made even in context like the one Romney made is going to create fodder for the stupid pundits. And Mitt should understand that simply by the fact he ran a gazillion ads against Newt for the SAME KIND OF COMMENTS over the years. He’s either stupid or so over-staffed he has no idea what is going on. Not good news either way.
Fourth, would everyone quit getting their panties in a wad everytime one GOP candidate attacks another? To actually think they are “giving Obama weapons”, in my opinion, means you are clueless. Obama’s weapon chest is so full they can’t fit in anything else. Nothing Newt says about Romney or vice versa isn’t anything the Obama folks haven’t already honed for attack.
You’d think presidential campaigns just started 12 years ago.
The poor are already well protected in terms of charities, govt handouts and food stamps.
What they need is motivation and self help to get out of poverty by finding a job, they dont need more care from politicians.
Gingrich as usual is sounding like a shrill leftie progressive politician, no wonder he is so inconsistent.
Either Romney was given this article beforehand or he somehow understands the “MIDDLE CLASS IMPLOSION” potential problem (because of his background).
