VANITY- My conversation with Josh at the RNC- No wonder our Republican party is falling apart

Oh my gosh! I am so very mad I am still shaking. I called the RNC today to get the definitive answer on the Florida delegate count. I was transferred to a young man named Josh and what ensued was the most infuriating, while enlightening, conversation that I have had in a long while.

I first asked my question about the delegates. His convoluted answer was basically that they couldn't impose two punishments, so the one punishment imposed was taking away half of their delegates. I asked him about that rule, was that in writing somewhere. He then proceeded to tell me that he thought that it was funny that no one had a problem with the rule until Newt Gingrich lost and now Gingrich wants to challenge it. Mind you, I had not mentioned that I was a Gingrich supporter. He said that it basically didn't matter anyway. The race wouldn't be that close. Several other things were said about Gingrich, with a tone that made it perfectly clear that he supported Romney and despised Gingrich.

Well, I was getting pretty mad at this point. So I said that the average Conservative voter was pretty upset about the establishment trying to shove Romney down our throats as the "inevitable" candidate, just like they did McCain and Dole. He said, "Newt Gingrich is more of an establishment candidate than any of them". I talked about ruling class and the fact that all of the elite, inside-the-beltway Republicans and Democrats all hated Gingrich for a reason and that intrigued me. He then said that the Democrats would LOVE to have Gingrich as their candidate because they know that they could beat him! Wasn't this guy supposed to be neutral? I was quite mad by now. I said that the Democrats are actually dying to run against Romney, a silver-spoon, live in a bubble being groomed to run for president, multi-millionaire Wall Street guy. He then said, well Newt Gingrich is a multi-millionaire! Uh, hello?!

I asked him what he thought about the false ads that Romney and his supporters were running attacking Newt and his Reagan connections. He said that he didn't live in Florida and he didn't see the ads! I said that he sounding like Romney! Then I said, you work in the political office of the Republican party, shouldn't you know what is going on in all of the campaigns, especially if it is making news. You know that we have this little thing called the "internet" where you can go to see videos. He changed the subject.

THEN he launched into the most shocking attack on Gingrich that I could have imagined. He said "well, this guy has had three wives and investigated the president for cheating on his wife while he was cheating on his wife. Don't you think that is hypocritical?" !!!!!!

I was floored! I said, did I call the RNC or the DNC?!?! I then asked him how old he was (25) and was he really around to pay attention to the impeachment trial in the 90's? He said yes, Newt was investigating a guy for having an affair while he was having an affair and that was hypocritical. I practically screamed at him "it was not about sex, it was about lying under oath!" He then said that the speaker of the house should not have been investigating him in the first place, since he was having sex with another woman at the time. Picking myself up off the floor, I yelled that the investigation was started because of Paula Jones. He said that she was just a slut. I said that she had a legitimate harassment suit against Clinton and he was called to testify under oath and he lied! Josh said that he shouldn't have been investigated in the first place! WOW! I then asked him if he thought that perjury was a crime. He said yes but the House investigated and the Senate did not convict him. He said that the Speaker brought embarrassment on his whole party by investigating Clinton and bringing Impeachment charges. Unbelievable...

I then thanked him for showing me exactly why my Republican party is falling apart. I told him that it is because of people like him that our party has lost its footing, its vision and its mission. I said because of people like him we would end up with 4 more years of Obama and our country no longer resembling the United States of America.

I then hung up the phone and called Newt's office. I relayed everything that this "neutral" kid said to me. Needless to say, they were shocked. As was I..... I hope that I have conveyed my conversation in a way that makes sense to everyone. But I felt that I should share my experience so that we all know that the enemy is inside the gates.

Take a deep breath. Almost everyone here at one point or another has had a conversation with the “RNC” like this. Its why most of us do not give any money to the RNC. I’m sorry you had to go through this.

Maybe a new party is the only option at this point.

I wonder if Josh at the RNC is yet another phone bank operator somewhere in some cubicle taking RNC calls one minutes and customer service calls for AT&T the next.

His opinions are worthless. Even if they may actually reflect the RNC.

Unfortunately, some how none of this is really surprising to me.

Of course, I am not shocked that someone at the RNC is supporting Romney. What just absolutely floored me was his attack on Gingrich about impeachment. Just..... dang :(

The #1 thing the GOP establishment fears—more than four more years of Obama—is a true conservative at the top of the ticket. These guys in DC who are very connected, all profit from crony capitalist deals and handouts in one form or another, and if you have someone in office who will actually shrink the size of the government and its bloated budget, then their parasitic livelihood would be gone, and they would have to get real jobs. No doubt Josh sees all of the rich older folks at the RNC and realizes what he needs to do to get into their position someday.

I had a similar experience 10 years ago. Most all of us have, but to no avail, FR still remains with the Republicans.

The GOP is dead, and it is about time FR started acting like it!

This just proves to me that the liberals and Democrats have infiltrated the Republican party. I’ve argued with Liberal Paulbots on here and found that many of them voted for Obama in the last presidential election. Yet they say I’m a RINO because I don’t back the most “Conservative” and “Constitutional” candidate around. Be it Paul or Romney.

Two sides of the same liberal coin in my opinion.

Sounds like you outed a DNC infiltrator.
There is a reason the DNC knows nearly everything the RNC is doing.

Three scenarios for you:

1) A conservative. In this environment, that means a mandate to slash spending and shrink the bureaucracy. Those who profit from connections and hand-outs and bail-outs have to go get real jobs.

2) Romney is nominated. He gets his butted kicked in the general election. In exchange for playing the part of the “loyal opposition” to Obama, whilst at the same time offering no real opposition to his policies, GOP insiders get all kinds of goodies from Obama in return, not only in pork projects, but also favors of a more personal nature.

3) Romney is nominated. By some miracle fluke, he wins. Romney is a big government Republican. In exchange for supporting and working for his agenda whole-heartedly, GOP insiders end up with a lot of power over the technocracy, resulting in all kinds of private deals and favors and bail-outs and hand-outs.

Now, if you’re a spineless and unscrupulous GOP insider and you’re facing these three scenarios, what would you do?

There’s your answer.

I wonder how they’d react to a grassroots write in campaign for Juan Mc Pain?

I called the other day. I think I talked to the same young guy.

He told me that the RNC was not going to help Newt and for me to put my support to Romney.

I was so angry, have been for days.

I ask them why did they not defend Newt on he negative ads in Florida. The guy said we are not supporting Newt. Newt has been the one candidate in which has been given the worse deal. I am so angry. I just cannot tell you how much.

Contact Newt’s campaign and let them know what’s going on.
