They both need to stay in the race to keep Mitt from sewing up the nomination.

I'm afraid just the opposite is true. If both stay in and semi-equal, the notMitt vote is split and Mitt wins.

I can go for either Rick or Newt, I'm hoping one or the other drops out soon enough to stop Romney.

I respectfully disagree.

If either drops out, Mitt will be able to handily destroy the remaining candidate by being able to solely focus on that one remaining candidate. He still has millions to throw into the campaign for dirty campaign tactics.
