A federal judge ordered the controversial banner, which addresses "Our Heavenly Father" and ends with "Amen," removed last month in response to a lawsuit by a high school junior and atheist who said its religious language made her feel excluded.

But the lawsuit by Jessica Ahlquist stirred strong feelings in the city of Cranston, where some residents saw the effort to remove the 8-foot high by 4-foot wide banner, on display since 1963 in the school auditorium, as a slap at tradition and an assault on religion.

"I'm pleased with the vote," said Ahlquist, guarded by one of the police officers who ringed the packed school board meeting after scouring the space with bomb-sniffing dogs. "Obviously it was the right decision to make."

......................................................................................

"What's happening now is an attack on any type of religion," said Ron Valiquette, of Lincoln, R.I. "This is about more to us than one atheist objecting when there is something on the wall that doesn't pertain to her."

Now that Cranston, Rhode Island federal judges and the school board members have voted to remove prayer banner at the public high school; this act by them has been SEEN and RECORDED in the books by God the Father and Christ Jesus, and will BE REMEMBERED at the time of Revelation 20, when this same book is opened; and these men and women from Cranston, Rhode Island will be judged out of those things which TODAY have been written to show their works of evil against the LIVING FATHER GOD; they will RECEIVE their JUST REWARD of eternal judgement and damnation into the Lake of Fire forever.

Revelation 20:12: And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

God will NOT be mocked by Christ rejecting pagans. God will have the last judgement on these who mock God.

Why do they even go to court? What exactly would happen if they decided not to answer the law suite? What would happen if the superintendent just said NO! FU! The larger society has decided that you can suck it!

What really would they do? How about if every time the judge got into his car a local police officer happened to write him a ticket? How about every time the ACLU decided that a city couldn't enforce vagrancy laws two bums and a patrol car to protect them showed up on the lawn of every ACLU lawyer and Federal Judge in the area? What would they do then?

What if they where annoyed and frustrated by the rest of society?

At what point do the rest of us just get frustrated enough to simply ignore them? And if necessary, give them the headache?

i thought the quote: “Religion has no place in public schools,” Katzberg said. “The banner is a beautiful object but it expresses a concept that we cannot all agree on” particularly amusing. As if ANYTHING taught anywhere is ‘something we all agree on.’
Katzberg does not understand the very concept of education.

The Federal government, and the pawns that bring these lawsuits, are enemies of God and enemies of this country. They are trying to create via courts what the Bolsheviks created at gunpoint: a secular state, bereft of morality.

They are doing a great job.
