I am NOT a Mormon; but all of my step-family is. I grew up a Methodist, and still am, but I grew up in close proximity to the LDS Church.
While I personally find their theology more than a little strange, I have no doubt they are Christians.

Sorry, but it doesn’t work that way. A religion doesn’t get to deny basic Christian doctrine and make up its own, and then call itself “Christian.”
BTW, do you think Christianity is “more than a little strange?”

They would not listen, however, but persisted in their former practices.
Even while these people were worshiping the Lord, they were serving their idols.
To this day their children and grandchildren continue to do as their fathers did.
