It's unclear how much access U.S. intelligence has in IranProbably about as much as I do. And I think they are building a bomb.
To: 2ndDivisionVet
A highly classified U.S. intelligence assessment circulated to policymakers early last year largely affirms that view, originally made in 2007. Both reports, known as national intelligence estimates, conclude that Tehran halted efforts to develop and build a nuclear warhead in 2003. What a total and absolute load of Bull Sh-t. If they were not trying to make a nuclear weapon they would welcome any and all inspectors to inspect their installations anytime the inspectors wanted.
Why in the hell would they put these installation in hardened (deep underground) if it was a peaceful program. It is not a peaceful program , and this article is a lie.
The Los Angeles Times is a very friendly paper to Obama. They did not pull this article out of their butts and decide to print it. This article has the Obama administrations finger prints all over it. But the real question is why?

Reassuring indeed. If “newly recruited informants” tell us that Iran isn’t building weapons, that’s good enough for me.

Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, insisted Wednesday that Tehran had no intention of producing nuclear weapons. In remarks broadcast on state television, he said that “owning a nuclear weapon is a big sin.”
But he said that “pressure, sanctions and assassinations” would not stop Iran from producing nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
Well now, nothing to see here folks. Move along.
To: 2ndDivisionVet
that view, originally made in 2007.
Five years ago? When was the last time
a real inspection of Iran was possible?
Five years was all it took to invade Poland.
Five years was all it took for US to make the bomb.
From scratch!

one fact is often overlooked: U.S. intelligence agencies don't believe Iran is actively trying to build an atomic bomb.
These would be the same US intelligence agencies that didn't believe that the Soviet Union would ever collapse, had no inkling of the 9/11 attacks, thought Saddam was about to go nuclear and took a decade to notice that Osama bin Laden was sitting around watching porn right next to Pakistan's main military academy.
And now they don't think Iran is trying to build an atomic bomb. Somehow I'm not reassured.
To: 2ndDivisionVet
Why then are Israeli and western states involved in assassinations of nuclear scientists and other covert actions? The intel agencies were in bed with the Clinton admin. also.
Treasonous I say.

U.S. intelligence agencies don't believe Iran is actively trying to build an atomic bomb.U.S. intelligencies have been politicized to suit the leading Communist's agenda. (Sorry for being Capt. Obvious.)

It would be interesting to see the HUMINT that supports this belief. Iran for a fact was trying to buy nuclear tech when I was in the know more than 25 years ago. I find it hard to believe that Iran has made no progress in all of this time????

Yet more sabotage.
Our alleged government, is working against our nation’s future.
It is incredible, the ideological, anti-American left is actually getting away with this.
The lies and agenda, are all so obvious.
Yet they continue, unopposed by those whose job it should be to say clearly “YOU LIE”.
Where are they?
To: 2ndDivisionVet
Gee they might be surprised when any day the Iranians test their weapon. Lets just hope the test isn’t on a missile aimed at Israel.

Just yesterday I read something about the Iranian scientist that was blown up. It said: “Mostafa’s ultimate goal was the annihilation of Israel,” Fatemeh Bolouri Kashani told FNA on Tuesday. The article went on to say: “Iran’s 32-year-old Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan Behdast, a chemistry professor and a deputy director of commerce at Natanz uranium enrichment facility, was assassinated during the morning rush-hour in the capital early January. His driver was also killed in the terrorist attack.” Yeah nothing there. Nothing to worry about.

It really doesn't matter what Zer0 or his administration think or say. Israel will make the final decision on Iran's nuclear threat. Zer0 will find out when he starts seeing the mushrooms blooming over Tehran and the various nuke sites. Certain other Arab states will also get a stiff dose of reality from Iran's demise — or they can join Iran's fate.

I suppose our new posture is, “better sorry than safe”? We can always apologize if we’re wrong. We do a lot of that these days.
To: All
All this means is they have already established their warhead design so they shelved that part of their program in 2003. Now they are working on the more difficult part, producing the fuel for the warhead. The missiles are already perfected.
This is an intentional leak by the Obama administration to preempt Israeli action and whip up public opposition for stopping any action.
There will be no U.S. action against Iran while Obama is in the White House.
