BOISE, Idaho - Gas prices have gone up 7 cents in the last week and drivers say they are starting feel the pain at the pump. We talked to drivers as they filled up for 3.13 a gallon.
"I think it sucks!" said Emily Chandler, a Boise driver.
She wasn't the only one who felt that way.
"It's not OK," said Abu Mohamed, another local resident.
"You just got to fill up and get to work so there's not much you can do," Sean Nicholas said.
At $3.13 a gallon, these drivers paid 3 cents less than Boise's average. The national average is $3.56 and that's 35 cents higher than just one year ago and AAA says it will likely go up until the spring.
Right now refineries are making the switch from winter grade to summer grade gas and that means less supply, same demand, which equals higher prices.
Meanwhile, drivers say they are cutting back on driving, grouping their trips and some are even walking more.
"I probably wont take any vacation," Mohamed said.
"'ll probably cut back on some camping trips and stuff," Nicholas said.
Others will cut back elsewhere.
"I got to go on a trip once in a while but I try to keep it down in the city," Chandler said.

About $4.17 here in central CA.
I dream of $3.13. It’s $3.86 for reg and $4.06 for premium here in CT.

$4.45 for premium here in northern Cal. It went up $.25 since this afternoon, and this is a cheap, no name station. The major stations are probably around $4.75

Actually, that comes later when people with hoses try to steal gas out of your tank. Better get a locking gas cap.

I go the grocery store. One day the Bacon is $2.99. The next day the same brand of Bacon is $5.99. If I happened to be standing there with a camera when the night crew changed the price I guess I would screaming OMG, Bacon went up 100% while I was standing here. Oh the humanity.

I posted that “Sarah Palin would do a better job than Obama.Palin is for drilling for oil and that alone would have gas prices lower. Also Palin is for reducing government and government spending which is what is needed to reduce the debt. However Obama is exploding government spending and exploding the debt and so sending us into the abyss”. Of course some liberal put a dislike on my comment but I also got a like . LOL. I didn't check back at how that went as I had to go to work unlike liberals. LOL. How can they argue against that? unbelievable that they believe the media that says Palin wouldn't do a better job.
