The people who are hurt the most by the high gas prices are the very ones who CAN’T afford hybrid vehicles.
In other words, the couple who lost their job (and therefore credit) can’t go buy a $30,000 hybrid to get more mpg and STILL are forced to pay $4 a gallon.
