The man at the center of the sex and substance-abuse scandal engulfing Nadia Lockyer is "not a stalker" and never assaulted the Alameda County supervisor, contrary to what her state treasurer husband has told the press.

That was the assertion Tuesday of Adrienne Dell, the attorney representing Stephen Chikhani in a recent arrest for allegedly being under the influence of methamphetamine.

Bill Lockyer's bizarro explanation for his wife's being in a motel room with another man......he and his wife argued so she went to the motel to comfort her suicidal ex-boyfriend who has a long history of involvement with the criminal justice system. REFERENCE before she was elected supervisor in 2010, Lockyer was director of the Alameda County Family Justice Center, which is overseen by the district attorney's office. Lockyer had almost no experience as an elected public official when she announced her run for supervisor. She had served on the Santa Ana Unified School Board in Orange County. What she did have was a husband with powerful connections and lots of cash.

The Tribune did not endorse Mrs Lockyer because of the thinness of her resume. They interviewed her and examined her glossy campaign literature (paid for by her hubby). In the end, voters didn't know much about her and now with her extramarital sex play made public, they know even less than they'd imagined.

There sure is more to the story. No 40 year-old woman marries a 70 year-old man for the sex. Bill Lockyer is an old fool who is getting his comeuppance for thinking that all this woman wanted was his body. Well, fortunately I did not have to read the article and have no idea what any of this is about. A quick pull on the scroll wheel drew me to your post where I was able to determine a speedy verdict of NOT GUILTY.

Bill Lockyer is part of the SF Bay political machine. No candidate gets a union endorsement without Bill Lockyer’s explicit approval. Lockyer and the local unions are one. The unions support Lockyer’s campaigns. Lockyer returns the favors by voting pro-union on everything that crosses his desk. The corruption possibilities are endless and will likely never be proven. It is unimaginable that his wife did not know that before she associated with him. But the scandal does expose these politicians for what they truly are, which is lying, hypocritical power-, sex- and alcohol-crazed animals who can’t even care for their own offspring, much less deserve the public trust. How they continue to get up every day and put one foot in front of the other, and continue to dare show up for public appearances and their public offices is the real mystery. It’s obvious that the unions would support a sinking turd if it voted for their political agenda.

If one looks at some of the comments on some of the articles about his wife, one gets the impression that Nadia Lockyer was relatively clean before marrying Bill. But in reality, there is bound to be a power broker down in OC just like SF Bay’s Bill who needs to have approved Nadia’s run for the local school board down there.......... She undoubtedly made her own personal pact with the devil many times over, long before she hooked up with Bill........ Maybe it finally caught up with her what kind of person she was really becoming. Anyway they are all opportunists. But Nadia and Mr Buff Dude do not seem to be playing the game smart.
