It’s the delegate math that matters.

Washington is one last chance for Santorum to gain some steam before Super Tuesday.

Well, I’ll say this. Rush certainly isn’t in the tank for Romney. He doesn’t like to endorse candidates or go against the Republican Party leadership, but it’s about as negative as could be on Romney without breaking his usual rules.

And that’s on the day after the entire media, and Drudge, and the rest all said that Romney won, isn’t that great? I’ve seen that questioned, but this is the first I’ve seen that Rick might get more delegates than Romney, in Romney’s home state.

Michigan district map. The districts Romney won are 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 14.

Interestingly enough, most of the districts Romney won are districts he can’t possibly beat Obama in during the general election. Santorum on the other hand won one Obama likely district and picked up the rest of the conservative leaners.

In my opinion, we were Romney’s easy prom date. He got what he wanted and now he’s done with us and will cede Michigan to Obama in the general.

That makes about the 3rd race they've declared for Romney that isn't real clear.

oh this is good news and very surprising! I was depressed all day yesterday.
I really do not want to vote for Obama over Romney.

See guys? Michigan is a Win-Win.

Mitt has to spend 6-8 times more money to remain remotely relevant. He isn’t going to buy his way to victory and only get 1/2 the votes when it counts.

Keep making him blow $350k for every delegate and at this rate he is going to be to big to fail and will need a bailout.

Mittens will tap a few of his multi million buddies or put it in himself through a PAC, or however he has to do it.

He is obsessed with winning and will not consider lack of funds to be an obstacle.

What is so gratifying about Michigan yesterday is how little he got for how much he had to spend.
But I’m still depressed today.

Well your whole post, I agree with but, I ain’t depressed.

This chump can’t there from here and his wins are diluted by actual results.

Hopefully Newt cleans his clock in GA and another state.

Gotta make him bleed for every single delegate.

Newt has been the underdog before and bested his opponents.

Is it just me, or does the MI GOP love Obama's logo?

LOL not just you. I made the same observation earlier.

BTW the numbers are still moving and Romney appears to be losing some ground.

8, 10, and 11 are represented by Republicans.

10 (and 2 and 3) were carried by McCain in 2008. The rest of the state went for Obama.

No Republican has carried Michigan since 1988. Any Republican candidate is probably going to concentrate resources elsewhere.

A smart republican would have the brains to acknowledge that the GOP wave in Michigan 2010 was greater here than anywhere alse in the nation. The GOP ran the table picking up the governors mansion, attorney general, secretary of state, both houses of the state legislature, two conservative supreme court judges, and two US representatives. The democrats didn’t pick up a single seat above the county level.

By all means, ignore us.

“Newt has been the underdog before and bested his opponents.”

Perhaps Newt can take the Deep South and Santorum can take the Midwest and Pennsylvania. With any luck, the two of them combined can win enough delegates to deny Romney a majority at the convention.

If Michigan is Romney’s home state then Santorum is from West Virginia.
