State Treasurer Bill Lockyer hunkers down as sex, drug scandal unfolds

Lockyer bankrolled his wife’s campaign for supervisor with $1.5 million from his own campaign coffers, a practice political watchdogs haves tried to end. “It’s a priority of ours that we can see and track where all our money’s going,” Common Cause’s Phillip Ung said. “I can’t point to another instance where that amount of money has been used in a local race,” Ung said.
