J.C. Watts is a popular guy in Oklahoma for a lot of reasons. He is a native of Eufaula, Oklahoma, he was one of the best wishbone quarterbacks in Oklahoma Sooner football history, and he was a conservative congressman from the fourth district for eight years. Newt Gingrich hopes all of that translates into votes. Watts and former Presidential candidate Herman Cain made a stop Monday at Joe Mamma's Pizza in downtown Tulsa in an effort to whip up support for Gingrich before the Super Tuesday primary.
KRMG reached Watts before the event and asked why he chooses Gingrich over the other candidates. His answer had to do with who can beat President Obama in November. “I think Newt Gingrich has the best chance” Watts began. “I think he stimulates the base, I think he fires up evangelicals, I think he fires up the tea party folks” he continued.”
Watts knows Oklahoma may be an uphill battle with the recent popularity of Rick Santorum, something Watts can’t quite figure out. “It perplexes me somewhat” Watts told me. He went on “I like him and got along with him well but he defended big labor, he’s not a right to work guy” Watts finished.

I have great respect for JC. In the middle of being Americas Hope he dropped it all for his family. Look him up in the dictionary under “Good Man”.
Gingrich is fighting the entire Republican machine.
They’ve spent tens of millions to keep Gingrich out.
We go down fighting, if nothing else.
Brokered convention, that’s all that matters.
I could vote for JC.
Wishbone quarterback was a legitimate candidate for ultimate high-pressure job ever devised by the mind of man.

agreed. I lost a lot of respect when JC endorsed a dem just because of his color. I didn’t switch to Hillary just because of her gender (Ferarro neither)
