(CNSNews.com) - Attorney General Eric Holder on Thursday expressed sorrow and anger at the escalating number of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty, including at least 71 killed by "gun violence."
"We can, and we must, do even more" to protect law enforcers," Holder told the spring meeting of the National Association of Attorneys General in Washington.
"Just as I promised last year, protecting the safety of our law enforcement officers has been, and will continue to be, a key area of focus for the Justice Department," Holder said.
Holder noted that 177 law enforcement officers were killed in the line of duty last year, a 16 percent increase from 2010. "And 71 of these officers were killed by gun violence," he said.
"I am sorry and, quite frankly, I am angry to report that, since the beginning of 2012, we have mourned the loss of an additional 24 law enforcement officers."

Even more than WHAT to protect cops?
Do even more thannnnn, saaaaaay.....avoid exporting thousands of machine-guns to drug-dealing Narco-Kingpins..?THAT is how they will bend over backwards...?
Imagine Rodney King has just been beaten and there's deeeeep outrage. Imagine further that the LAPD Chief intones in public,
"We cherish diversity, make the safety of all black folks our VERY highest priority, and will work ***EVEN HARDER*** to demonsrate that we like them...."
Just imagine the outrage. Just imagine it.
Imagine that there was loads of documentation and sworn testimony from officers that it was official policy to beat the snot out of black drivers. In fact officers would be punished if they didn't.
That's more like Fast and Furious.

So let me see if I have this right. When questioned about his operation that illegally exported thousands of guns to criminals in a neighboring country, resulting in the deaths of hundreds in both countries, Holders response boils down to "Guns are bad. Democrats are the solution." Is that about right? Does he actually think anyone's going to take that seriously?
Stilton Jarlsberg? LOL. Cheesy!
