The Battle of Athens was an armed rebellion led by WWII veterans and citizens in Athens and Etowah, Tennessee, United States, against the tyrannical local government in August 1946.

You are right, the left is scared of historical events like this. Stories like this seem to be suppressed.
BTW - I had heard of the Battle of Athens while helping my daughter do a research project on gun control for school. The assignment was about gun control but the teacher never stated which side to write about. She chose the anti-gun control stance and used the Battle of Athens as her main argument.
And look for it to happen again many times if we’re stupid enough to reelect the Cretin-in-Chief.

Thank you very much for the link. I suggest every Freeper forward a link to this thread to their list of known loyal Americans as what happen in Athens to cause this HAS happened at the federal level.
The latest example is the Health Care issue before the USSC. Of course they will not allow cameras as cockroaches never like the light of day shown on them AND you have to know for certain the FIX IS IN as the USSC will not release the audio for 2 hours.
Now just what do you expect to take place in that 2 hour gap? Are they just going to remove some lawyer or black robed political hack’s burps or passing of gas or will they do what I know they are going to do and that is remove any evidence of how the USSC in collusion with this Marxist government will circumvent the US Constitution and force us to buy something we may not want.
Only a corrupt government needs a 2 hour waiting period to hear what goes on in this case as it is certainly not a National Security Issue.
We are being set up to believe the USSC will insure we have the protections guaranteed by the Constitution of that I am positive.
If we cannot have light shown on these Marxist cockroaches then at least let us hear what is being done to us IN REAL TIME.
