Wow, you’re going to argue that it’s superior to have only one option to deter a threat

There are MANY threats...to think pepper spray or a tazer is sufficient in a LIFE & DEATH situation is ridiculous. If you choose to stake your life or the life of your family on such nonsense, have at it. I choose otherwise.

If the threat is not life or death, my training instructs me to keep my weapon hidden.

Are you siloed into the mindset that you can only carry one thing at a time?

In a life or death situation, indeed, it’s time to shoot to kill.

In other threatening situations, unless you just simply can’t imagine a threatening situation that isn’t a lethal one, less than lethal defense is appropriate.

There’s a reason cops carry BOTH pepper spray and guns.

I instruct all of my CCW students to carry non-lethal self defense items.....Notice I didn't say USE it. An empty can of mace on the ground gives creedence to "I tried not to kill the criminal, but I had no choice", looks alot better in court than, "BANG".

Do I carry non-lethal self defense items? Yes. WIll I use it? Probably not, it just gives me options such as at family reunions in Arkansas where the 3rd cousin is too drunk or stupid to shoot ;)
