Meanwhile, there is the real possibility that Trayvon Martin is dead because his parents were racists who taught him that white people are always going to want to do him harm, that if he dresses “wrong” people will come after him. This could well be why, when he knew Zimmerman was following him, he decided to turn on him and confront him and beat him up — because Martin feared for his life because of his parent’s racism.
This would be a great time for the President of the United States of America to remind us of the need for civility and the importance of due process, just like he did when Major Hasan slaughtered 13 Americans.
