Scientists are increasingly confident that the uptick in heat waves and heavier rainfall is linked to human-caused greenhouse gas emissions, posing a heightened risk to the worlds population, according to two reports issued in the past week.
On Wednesday, the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change released a 594-page study suggesting that when it comes to weather observations since 1950 there has been a change in some extremes, which stem in part from global warming.

But the IPCC team projects that there is a 90 to 100 percent probability that sea level rise will contribute to upward trends in extreme coastal high-water levels in the future.

What about Europe’s record winter this year? Does that count?
I wonder at what point will their billion dollar research will conclude that the Earth get’s warmer from the Sun?
What scientists? - writer makes it sound like universal agreement
the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change released a 594-page study
Ahhhhhhhh! the UN BUREAUCRATIC scientists. Well, we certainly recognize their accomplishments in solving world hunger, raising worldwide standards of living, curing disease worldwide, and setting up effective worldwide quarantine measures for incurable diseases such as AIDS. Oh wait, they've done none of those things. In fact, they have contributed nothing that raises the standard of living of mankind in any way, to my knowledge.
the report the product of a collaboration of 220 authors from 62 countries makes distinctions among different phenomena.
So, instead of scientists universal, we are dealing with a body of 220 men selected by the UN based upon unknown criteria - although political considerations seem to influence the UN more than scientific considerations? Well, their conclusions MUST be incontrovertible, (and we see they are when any non-approved scientist raises a dissenting view). Science by Imperial fiat - like the former Soviet Union.
Ping for later.
No. When quantifying "extreme weather" they throw-out statistical anomalies that may be too extreme.
the heat and the rain mean that the poor people that only live another 70 years will eat great because there are plenty of crops. LOL
Three words for this whole article. WHAT A CROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
