WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama is calling on Congress to increase taxes on millionaires, reviving a proposal he first pitched last September that aims to draw sharp election-year lines between the president and the Republican opposition.
The plan, scheduled for a vote in the Democratic-controlled Senate on April 16, stands little chance of passing in Congress.

Is the Buffet rule the one where you fight the IRS for years not to pay your taxes?
The Buffet rule is where you parade your secretary in front of the world, buy her a house in AZ and get the oil contracts to rail oil after the President vetoes the pipeline.
Pray for America
I have to agree with Obama on this one. I think they should raise Warren Buffet’s taxes. If Buffet wants to pay higher taxes so bad, let him.
This should make all the liberals/marxists “feel good.”
All the while not doing ONE damn thing to help the economy.
Warren ought to pay all his own taxes before he worries that other people may not be paying enough.
Gee, hasn't that worked so well throughout history?/s
This is like a shot to the month of American taxpayers from the Soetoro regime. Until Buffett pays the taxes he already owes, we shouldn’t be naming tax laws after him. Geeesh. Damn commies!
They should just pass a law that confiscates the wealth of anyone named Buffett and has a net worth in excess of $1 billion and call it the Buffett Rule.
Obama keeps coming back to the same things over and over again , Buffett Rule punches above its weight
Wow, it’s almost as if he were taxing people poorer than himself.
Tax Buffet more.
Lots more. Just Buffet.
Leave the rest of America alone.
Along the same lines of thought, pass a law to actually tax accumulated wealth. See how many of the crazy wealthy democrats vote for that one.
Or, taking every dime that Buffett has. See how fast Buffett will have his lawyers in court to try to overturn it as unconstitutional.
The projected new revenue that will be collected from the Buffett rule each year would be enough to run the government for six hours. But who’s counting. The class warfare card is very effective with the ballot cattle.
