I thought Brown gave a very Gingrich-like response. The sudden change of direction to a 2 year old case was indeed a gotcha trap.

And her followup, she went to the wake and got extra funding for the investigation does show some concern for the victim.

And she nailed it- there is ALWAYS some BS with the media, like showing a 4 yo picture of Martin consistently, re-editing 911 tapes to support the WH point of view, phony National Guard memos, and the list goes on.

Huh?

Did you watch the video? It was the Congresswoman who brought up the death of the white victim some two years ago. How is that the media's "gotcha" trap?

i usually don’t watch these but i am glad i did. as conservatives we have to acknowledge when we are wrong and, before i watched the video, i assumed this person was just another poverty pimp. after watching the video i think it was got you jpurnalism and she came back on the second interview with some facts. hell i can’t remember what i ate yesterday.
now in all biased she may still be pimping this whole case but she was wronged this time.
ps i don’t watch any tv news but i am sick of this case, the media bias, and everybody calling this little dead thud by his first name like he is their son or neighbor. he didn;t necessarily deserve to die but he put himself in that position. stupid people don’t know they are stupid.

I agree with your premise regarding the gotcha media. But in this case, it was the politician who brought up the case in an apparent effort to prove her point that she cared for "all children". She was vague about the case and had the location wrong. The on screen reporter asked about the name, maybe because she didn't know what case she was talking about. I think the desk reporter then saw the juicy quagmire the political hack found herself in and exploited it.

The more shameful aspect of this is that person was elected to a public office to represent a populace of people. It happens all over but I still scratch my head.

In the first interview, it was the Congresswoman who brought the murder of the white girl some two years prior, NOT the journalist!

“How is that the media’s “gotcha” trap? “

My feelings of a trap started with the questioning about whether Brown would care if the victim were white- that’s the setup. Then with the trap set, the spring is, well, then, what’s her name? What’s her name? You don’t remember? Gotcha!! You don’t care about white victims.

Brown was recalling the two or three year old case as best she could. All the people in the studio had time to look it up, as did the questioner, most likely.
