Nadia Lockyer denies leaving ex-lover a voice mail

Despite a trip to rehab and an ongoing investigation into her accusation that she was assaulted by an ex-boyfriend in a Newark hotel room, Alameda County Supervisor Nadia Lockyer allegedly has continued to contact her former lover, Stephen Chikhani. Most recently, she supposedly left him a voice mail message declaring, "Miss you beside me."

According to a source familiar with the recording, Lockyer made the nine-second call to Chikhani just 10 days ago at 4:59 a.m. on March 25.

The message is among the audio recordings turned over to the state attorney general by Chikhani's lawyer.

"I just want the attorney general's office to complete its investigation and to exonerate my client," said Chikhani's attorney Adrienne Dell when asked about the recordings.

Lockyer issued us a statement late Tuesday saying: "I emphatically deny contacting Mr. Chikhani and don't believe that these are authentic messages. He has been convicted of grand theft and has a 10-year criminal record. Who do you believe?"

Who do you believe?"
That must be a trick question!

This has movie written all over it.

Chevy Chase can play the cuckolded Mr. Lockyer. Mrs. Lockyer would be Sandra Bullock, and the felon she loves would have to be Ashton Kucher. In the end, she leaves the world of politics to escape to Mexico with her lover, but they get caught at the border and die in a shoot-out.

I have no idea who either of these people are and I can’t really tell who has been to rehab and who hasn’t. And why is there a picture of the woman and no picture of the man? Awfully written article.

It’s good to see that Mrs. Lockyer has “recovered” and is “back on her feet again.”

She seems unstable, liar, druggie, lost credibility. Why would a forced or voluntary resigning be thought? Just perfect for a SF politician.
