The only problem is Romney’s not positioned to capitalize on it, since the whole point of his and the RNC’s strategy was to get a candidate who seemed like he was more pro-gay and pro-abortion in order to get the “socially moderate, affluent, urban” swing voters. So Romney seems unconvincing going up against Obama on this and any voters he would have gotten from that group might be too excited about Obama’s announcement to care about him anymore.
