J.C. Penney swings to loss, suspends dividend (Thanks to Ellen Degeneres...)

J.C. Penney Co., which is making major pricing and merchandising changes, said Tuesday that it swung to a first-quarter loss that was larger than expected and that it no longer expects to meet its previous profit forecast for the year.

The net loss was $163 million, or 75 cents a share, compared with a profit of $64 million or 28 cents a share a year earlier. Sales in the quarter ended April 28 fell 20% to $3.15 billion.

Agreed. Before her coming out (although that episode was funny), the show was hilarious. After that it was “Ellen — let me find you a GAY WOMAN (*snicker*)”

And as wish so many gays, she made her whole life and new shows about her sexuality (or lack thereof).

Same here. I liked Penneys for stuff like colored tees to wear with yoga pants, and pajama pants. It was fun to take in one of those coupons and pay two bucks for a pair of pjs. Now, they have some messed-up sales thing that they change every two weeks, and less merchandise on the floor. Also, the tees they sell are all larges and extra larges, with only a few smaller sizes sprinkled in between. Who needs it.

We were in the store at the end of April and they were having sales...and we did not buy an item because the sales clerk said it would be going on sale this month. Havent checked back yet to see if that is what will happen.

The gay activist mob pressures these businesses. They are politically active way out of proportion to their numbers. They exaggerate their influence and power and play on liberal guilt and misplaced “compassion.”

These gay celebrities who do not think they are doing any harm are allowing themselves to be set up as a model for young people who don’t even understand what it’s all about, much less the cultural implications and moral decay. That is harming people. All of us, really.

We should not ever let them get to us with this “compassion” crap.

What sucks is when she would go into JCP, I could easily hit up the nearby Dick’s sporting goods for any ammo they’d have on sale. Now I would have to make a special trip to go there looking for ammo, and that can draw some unwanted bitching if the ‘mood’ isn’t right.
